No. Just no. Honestly, there are a million reasons to avoid this nonsense in particular.

    1) Her website auto-plays sound when loaded. That's just, ugh. I don't have a word for how bad that is.

    2) You are forbidden from discussing the plan or sharing details about it. In fact, if there's more than a certain number of people (2) in your house, you are supposed to buy extra copies of the plan. This is not only insanely restrictive, it also removes any possibility of a sane review of the plan itself. What other diet plans work like a secret society?

    3) She openly admits it's made up. Why not save your money and make up your own diet?

    Here's the rules: http://www.terriann123dietplan.co.uk/images/Member Rules.pdf

Best part about it... any post regarding the specifics of the plan or food choices are strictly limited to the private areas. But, progress and weight loss pics/stories are supposed to be posted publicly to encourage other people to buy the book (at least she admits that openly). It's a money grabbing scheme... not a good diet.

“Protein-rich foods keep us feeling fuller for longer, which can help with weight loss, but the average calorie content, in my view, of the sample menu (at around 1,300 calories a day) will certainly not deliver a 10lb weight loss in 10 days as claimed

OK, using this. Let's make our own made up diet and save you the money. I would also not recommend this plan for men. The calorie count is WAY too low.

    First 21 days:

    20g carbs
    150g protein
    69g fat

Find a mixture of foods that gets as close as possible to these macros (+/- a few grams). That's 1,301 calories. If you're not already doing low carb, you'll almost certainly see that 10 pound in 10 day weight loss. Why? Because it's all water weight.

    Days 22+:

    30-50g carbs
    90g protein
    80-85g fat

This is (1,200 - 1,325 calories) with "fairly" adequate protein... unless you're seriously active it's probably plenty. It has a "generous" carb allowance (especially since I'm a ketard and keep myself under 20g a day).

But wait!!! There's no meal plans here. That's got to be worth the money, right? Nah, you can use www.eatthismuch.com and put in your specific calorie and macro goals, foods you like/hate, how many meals you want, etc. and it will generate menus and recipes for you. Easy, it's free too (although you can sign up for a premium account for extra features).

i haven’t had to pay for anything hun i got the book free and online access free on facebook, i know it works my manager has lost 4st and not gained a single 1lb back there is a maintenance stage as the end which re-introduces carbs slowly but the main ones like potato, rice , pasta to be eaten just 3X a week and 1 treat day is allowed but then you must do 1 day of stage one day after...

there are 3 stages stage one been the 10days boost were like you said you drop lots of water weight, the second stage some veg is introduced then stage 3 you switch between stage 1 and 2 to keep the body guessing and dropping the pounds...

i typed the 10 days boost in to my MFP it avgs around 1400-1500 cals a day, if I’m honest i want a quick fix and i know this works from the thousands of people posting daily...soon as i drop this stone and get to target i will slowly introduce crabs (im not a massive carb eater any way and usually have macros set at 35% at the min) and up my cal allowance to maintenance, as it’s not a low calorie diet to start with i know i won’t bang the weight back ion just from eating a extra 100-300cals more a day. i just want to get to goal now fed up of been on a diet i know this is lifestyle blah blah but i just think get there quicker be at goal quicker and chill the F out 4 years of dieting has taken its toll lol!

So, you're not looking for advice/discussion. You're looking for people to agree with you.

    You do whatever you want.

Sounds like a plan designed to earn its creator a ton of money, and not much else.

    Best of luck.

like i say everyone is entitled to their opinion...but a diet has to start somewhere no matter who makes it up, the 1000s of people who have successfully lose weight cant be wrong and for people who do want to join its £16.00 no monthly fee compared to Weight watchers , slimming world , RC, herbalife and all other plans that charge £20-30 a month....i don’t believe in paying for plans myself only reason im giving ti a shot is because im getting it free lol

Do you have specifics or just the press releases she puts out?

How many people have tried her diet (heck, just how many copies has she sold)? How many are still doing it? What is the average amount of weight lost? What percentage of people are still keeping it off 3-5 years later? Etc.

All I have been able to find are anecdotes about losing weight. Most of them only a couple weeks into the program. I've found very few long-term results. Even on her results page, almost all the testimonials are after less than 3 months (and a shockingly large amount are for people only a week or less than a month into the diet). You can't really base the results of a diet on the first few months. Pretty much any diet will cause you to lose weight rapidly at the start. Heck, one guy lost 27 pounds in 10 weeks on a "Twinkie Diet." That's actually very, very close to some of the results people post on her diet ("Lost 2 stones in 10 weeks on this wonderful plan." "Ive lost 32 lbs in 11 weeks." "Lost 2st 1 lb in 10wks" etc.).

It is very unusual for people to post when they fail at a diet. People usually blame themselves. So, the relative dearth of people talking about how it doesn't work doesn't support that it does.

my manager kept 4st off for 1 year, my friend kept a stone off for 5months and my aunt has so far lost 2st in 3 months...

So, no, you don't know about any long term success from this diet plan. See how simple that was? ;-)

Edit: By January 2013, she had sold 6,100 copies of her book. Of those 6,100 people, how much weight did they lose? How much have they kept off? How many are still doing the diet?

Do you understand that the answer to these questions is important?

She's been pushing this diet since 2010-2011, so there should be some results 3-4 years out. I see none except her own personal story.

im not going to win this one!! hahaha!!

bottom line is im doing it any ways but i suppose i will be returning back to MFP @ maintenance stage so i won’t be actually on her plan any more to tell the tale if i have had years of success

like i said i want a quick fix melt this lard quick as poss then gradually move on to mainenance and chill out!!

It's up to you. And, like you said, you got it for free so it's not costing you anything. You need to find what works for you. I've personally found a macro balance and calorie range that makes sense for me. My point it, I don't know that this is going to be any better than a plan you could develop for yourself. It is low carb, which means you'll drop a bunch of water weight at the start. So, there's that motivation. Of course, any low carb plan will offer that quick return.

Best of luck. Quick fixes are usually temporary fixes.

I'm lazy at low carb planning and don't have time so this is already done for me lol,
And yes quick fixes don't work if you don't see them through which I pal. On doing 100% as I'm still tracking on here just eating foods off a low carb list tomorrow's food example just so you can see how sensible the diet is and not low on cals:

Breakfast- 3 eggs scrambled with tad of skimmed milk, mushrooms, 5 slices wafer thin ham, 5 cherry tomatoes and diced mixed peppers
    Snack- shape fat free yogurt
Lunch - tin tuna in brine, lettuce, onion, cucumber, peppers ,1/4 pot of low fat cottage cheese and chive, 100g prawns,
    Snack- shape fat free yogurt
Dinner- large chicken breast 250g, 1tbs nadoes marinade, onion, mushroom, peppers
    Snack- protein shake

Some I of the things are a little limited salad wise but it don't bother me eating same stuff this way of eating is very similar to how I eat now apart from I eat a lot of chocolate and vending machine cuppacions at work, then on the weekends I will eat ready made microwave meals healthy ones and pizza maybe

Then why are you asking if you're going to do it anyways? You were rude about it to someone who pointed out you don't need to pay. You never said it was free for you and you supposedly got all the proof you needed that it works from your coworker.

You won't gain weight back you lost if you eat maintance calories. No matter what diet you used to lose weight. Low carb, Low calorie, herbal life, etc. There's nothing special about it. If you like it because it plans out your meals for you then use it.

Haha, I have seen this before.

No... I wouldn't do it. She isn't a doctor. She isn't qualified at all to be telling people what to eat.

Of course it works, it's a low carb plan that creates a calorie deficit. You don't need her plan to do that.

If you want to follow it then go for it.

Honestly I personally think that to "make up" a diet plan and sell it to people (even if they do lose weight) when you have not studied that plan or done any kind of research is kind of irresponsible. (the person who created the diet, not the people buying her plan)
  • I bought into this so called diet but it's awful.
For the first ten days you are very very restricted on what you can eat but it's something like this
8am yogurt or their shake or three eggs
Snack 6 thick or 12 wafer thin slices of ham or chicken etc plus jelly 25/50g protein
Lunch between 250g / 500g raw protein be it chicken , fish beef etc very small amount of lettuce onions cucumber peppers mushrooms. No celery or tomatoes or veg.
Snack same as earlier or shake or yogurt etc
Dinner is the same hunk of meat protein salad etc
And yet another snack of animal protein or quorn.
    Do this for ten days
Second stage is your allowed to add a few veg and a slice of wholemeal bread for alternate days for one week whilst still eating large amounts of protein
Stage three you go back to the first stage lose the veg and the bread and the yogurt and can have a couple of fruit.
You are encouraged to make cakes pudding and pancakes out of her protein shakes. There is a recipe section with things like Big Mac in a bowl. Meatzza and Donor kebab meat and piles of chicken.
I Think a lot of the photos they use for recipes are stock photos and not the actual food that the supplier of the recipe actually cooked - some but not all. But most of the recipes are pretty revolting and the thought of chewing your way through the mounds of meat every 2/ 2.5 hours is actually quite depressing. All the meals feel extremely heavy.
I managed four days then had to eat veg as couldn't go to the loo properly.
    My stomach also constantly hurt.
You're not allowed to criticise the diet publicly on facebook yet you're told to post your weight loss on her page and your own so that everyone will think it's great.
There is a very large user support and admin do sort of answer your queries.
I Suppose if you don't like veg then it's for you but I don't think all that meat can be good for your gut and can't see how they are making the change to a healthier portion controlled diet.

It frustrates me that she keeps it a closed system. You wouldn't be willing to share more specifics, would you?

We've got a free plan up on the Launch Pad and a free group to discuss it with right here.
Keto is practically free, too, if you do your own research.

There is so much info available and free support. Who needs to line the pockets of a guru? Be your own guru.

there is no quick fix, no magic, no one way to lose weight other than being and remaining committed to improving not only your weight but your health. Becoming informed is crucial and not by exploiters. You sound like a walking advertisement someone, trying to force feed an agenda.
You also sound like the pain in the butts who just like to argue their point for attention.
