Water Wednesday (7/30) - No Yellow

A number of people at my work are volunteer fire fighters. They constantly talk water in terms of pee color because that's how they are trained to know their hydration level. So, I figure I'd share what they are talking about.

Check in Food, Exercise, and WATER (oz, cups, gallons, liters).
( Please - don't check in your pee color, that's a bit TMI...:laugh: )

    Ohhhh, you're no fun not letting us check in our pee color...but then again, I deal with pee all the time so it's not biggie with me lol

    Lately, I've been doing so well on my water intake! I aim to drink about 10 cups a day, and I have actually been hitting it. I've been drinking 6 cups before I even get to work, so that's definitely an improvement...which makes me happy. :happy:

    I'll let y'all know how it goes this evening..

    Haha no yellow...that's exactly how I know I'm drinking enough water. Today I took a rest day from working out. I drink a gallon everyday except for rest days. 3 liters of water on rest day is what I usually do. Yesterday I had to go pickup pizza for the hubby and I wanted to eat a slice Soooo Bad ....I mean I had to really talk myself out of it, because 1 slice will easily turn into 4 slices. I am proud to say I dug really deep and reminded myself on my goals and how pizza will only delay me from losing this fat around my organs. I did Not eat the pizza! I ate my meal that was already prepped. So proud of myself. It was hard though. My meal for today will be the same because that's what I prepped for the week. Tomorrow I am going out to eat with my entire unit at work, so I guess that will be a cheat meal for me. We are going to eat Tex-mex food yum. Has anyone had to dig really deep this week and not eat crap?

    That's one of the ways I knew I wasn't getting enough water to drink. The past two days have been much better, but I'm having to drink 80 oz of water to make it happen. I'm hoping I'll see an improvement on the scale next Monday as well.

    And I promise not to share color. Ever. :)
  • That was a good chart to post. Yesterday was a good day for water intake. Plan to work harder at it today. I think that's what has help me loose the 2 lbs. :happy:

    Glad everyone likes the chart. I wasn't sure if it would be good or not - but I do think it's something important to remember... It's not just oz, but how hydrated we are.

    Today was my day off. Ate fast food at lunch due to a dental appointment running really long. I ordered chicken sandwich (400 calories) and small fries (260 calories). I'm proud of myself for saying "small".

    Need to up my water intake. It's easy to drink at work, not so much without work.

    I'm making ribs tonight with a side salad or green beans. Hopefully they turn out well.

    Finishing up my last glass of water - managed 80 oz. again. I'm back to having ankle bones again!

    Worked in my classroom for 4 or 5 hours today cleaning out cabinets, etc. So I feel like I got a little exercise, even though I didn't record it.

    And I came in under calories, so all in all, a great day.

    Haha! Love the pee chart! I drink water all day at work. I lose track of my ounces so I need to make a point to write it down. I drink at least 4 bottles of water a day which is 64oz. More if I'm working out.

    Good food day. Having fish & angel hair pasta for dinner. :)

    Today was hard for me. I drove an hour in to Chicago this morning and was at a conference all day. My feet hurt and I'm dead tired and still hafta work in the morning. I did manage to get 15,199 steps today, wearing heels I should say! Ouch!!!

    Breakfast was cliff bar, lunch chicken noodle soup and dinner was a five course meal! I feel like I ate a brick! It started with a avocado and crab appetizer, a wedge salad with blue cheese, filet mignon with baked potato and creamed spinach, then coffee with like 5 desserts. It was good but I couldn't eat it all, and didn't even try.

    It was also hard to get my water in. I know I didn't reach nearly my goal but I'll be glad to get back to normal tomorrow. I had fun and learned a lot. But back to business tomorrow for sure!!! Goodnight all

    So sorry I didn't post anything yesterday! Water was great yesterday! No yellow here! I overall did great yesterday! Hope everyone else is staying on track!
