Meal planning or not?

Just wondering what others do?
I try to plan what I'm having for the whole day and put it into MFP first thing in the morning, this seems to keep me on track for the day and I can eat those things as and when I want. If I leave it 'till the end of the day I seem to have eaten more. This doesn't work if I'm away and eating out.

    I do kind of plan for the day ahead but only log it is I eat it. My breakfast is usually the same every day, lunch and tea vary.

    Because my dinner tends to be my biggest meal I put this in in the morning and then it helps me keep on track for the day. We have a weekly plan for our evening meals which really helps.
