I did a bunch of these yesterday morning - this one ties in nicely with Marla's post yesterday about travels! I didn't realize clubs like that even existed. Marla your crazy girl party sounds like a lot of fun!

I've got some gym homework today from my trainer, and will get in some kind of cardio. My foot is a little more painful today than it has been so not happy about that. I might stop by the running shoe store this week and see if they've got any advice for me. Maybe there's a different shoe I should be wearing until this resolves.

I am getting back on track after taking a break. It was super hard to get back into the groove of things, it is so easy for my body to get used to taking a break. But I powered through and got in my cardio and arms workout that I skipped and I feel good. Don't plan on taking a break anytime again soon because I really hated having to start over. This week should be alright, nothing that should push me off track,

Breaks are horrible to try to come back from. It amazes me how hard it is to get back in the groove after a break, even knowing how much better I feel when I'm working out. The nice thing is once you get through those first couple days it becomes part of the routine again. Nice job powering through today!

I didn't know they existed either Laura until a few years ago at Farmers market sitting and eating and listening to a guy strumming guitar and this couple sits down and I say where are you staying?

I am in tourist town but know all the hotels, they say with a travel club and tell me about it. This one is for people over 40 but most are over 50 and retired, I haven't seen a child in any home yet, its called Affordable Travel Club you can google that.

You know you found the right club if it started by a couple in Gig Harbor, WA about 30 years ago.

Very safe too as never had a problem, I have only heard about one problem place and they kicked them out right away. Any problems you can contact leaders right away.

We have stayed in some regular homes and some very expensive homes, I think those people obviously join for company not to be affordable.

So, work today and club people staying over tonight.

I was going for a walk but these days check air quality because when its bad they say being outside is like smoking a pack a day! ugh! And quality is worse today so staying in...

    Rest day. :ohwell:

I think that I'm still trying to get my rhythm back after all the traveling and being sick. Yesterday I was supposed to go to my training class at 9 am. When I couldn't get to sleep until 2 am and then woke at 9:30 am, I knew that wasn't going to happen. I didn't even get out to give the dogs a walk all day. The only thing I managed was to clean the kitchen and make some dog treats and my dinner.

Today I got my run in, but started out way later than I wanted to. Got the 10 miles in, but I wasn't happy about it. :)

Tomorrow starts a new week and I get to go to the dentist at noon and drop my car off at the shop in the evening after work (got a recall notice). I'll take the dog(s) and either walk or run home from the shop based on the temperature outside. It's about 3 or 4 mile walk home. I so hope that I'm able to get into work early as it will make my whole day easier.

Yesterday I was super-sore from my trainer work out Friday. This morning I woke up hobbling. I took a walk with my son since walking helps relieve the stiffness. I also laid on my balance pods.

Lots of veggies today and made tomorrow night's dinner last weekend when I went on a cooking spree.

As far as taking a break from exercise, I try not to take off more than two days in a row (unless I am very sick) that way I get back on track.

Marla I have such a tiny house (1 bedroom) that it wouldn't work for anyone to stay with me. That's a great idea though. Sorry it still so smoky there that you can't enjoy being outside. We have fairly miserable winters here but our beautiful summers are the payoff, so I'd be crabby having to miss it.

Donna bonus points for a 10 mile run you aren't even happy with!

    April what are balance pods?

I just went to the gym. Did 30 minutes on the spin bike - 5 minute warm-up with light resistance, then bumped up the resistance and did 20 minutes of intervals (1 minute fast & 1 minute recovery), then dropped the resistance again for a 5 minute cool-down. Jason wanted me to do my hip exercises, inner thigh exercises, and lateral step-ups holding 15# weights, so I did 3 sets of 15 of each of those. Debated more cardio but I had worked hard for the 50 minutes I was there and decided it was good enough.

I didn't post yesterday - I didn't get back until late. Can't figure out how to do it from my phone app.

August 9 - I ran/walked 4.5 miles. My knees hurt from TKD on Friday. I need to go to chiropractor. So I ran a lap and walked a lap. and then ran for a while when I took my son to soccer practice.

Today I did 25 minutes of Hot Hula. So much fun and this woman has abs of steel! Awesome.

Marla - I laughed a bit when I read about air quality. Because the first thing that came to my mind is that the only bad day here in Iowa is on Thursday - which is sale barn day and all the cattle are in! : )
