I don't know how much this one applies to me but I liked it anyway. I am a formerly lazy person who now likes to exercise, but at some point I went through the thread starter's stage to get there.

I did have a hard time hauling my lazy butt out of bed in the dark this morning, but did it anyway so I could go swimming. I'm still working on my form over building fitness, but today I was able to implement some suggestions from my trainer about when in the stroke to breathe so I don't have to pull my head as far out of the water.

Did you know that this is the second August 12 one you did, Laura?

Running and trainer workout tonight. I'll feel good to use the muscles again! I really was bummed about missing last week. I'm going to try to make Thursday and Saturday classes this week, too. Saturday is a bit up in the air as I have a half day flyball tournament sometime on Saturday, but I'm hoping that it'll be held late enough that I can do the class first. Thursday is completely up to me. I'll take the car into the shop tomorrow.

Yesterday I bought a kindle book from Amazon; The Core Program: Fifteen Minutes a Day That Can Change Your Life. If I do it, it'll be an add on to what I normally do. It seems to be stretches and isometric exercises. I'm going to give it a try for a month and see what I think. I'll devote 15 minutes to it every morning, except Tuesdays and Thursdays, since it's a 5 day a week program. Then I'll see if it's changed my life.

One interesting comment, which I won't judge the book on as it's kind of an aside, is that she thinks that women go to the bathroom too much. That you should only urinate when you really have to, not just because a toilet is available. Don't know that I completely agree though as sometimes the urge can come on suddenly and I don't like having a full bladder and having nowhere to go. I'm probably still going to pee before I get in the car to go somewhere. It's both a habit and it makes sense to me.

Glad that you got to the swimming today, Laura.

Hope that Sherry is enjoying the beach.

Hope that Marla isn't having to deal with smoke today.

Glad that you enjoyed the beach, Maureli

Great about the good weekend, April!

Thats weird bts because I always heard that its bad for your health to hold going to the bathroom and you should go as soon as you have the urge.

I had bad food night last night at book club, too many tempting treats and went straight after work tired, not a good combo!

I went to Nia dance this morning and will do better today!

I wish I could say smoke is better, but believe it or not we have more fires, there are around 8 different fires within two hours of me! And a new one about 15 min away up one pass near where one of my fav hiking spots is Ingalls Creek on Blewett Pass.

So now last two days very smokey, air quality is so bad you are told to stay indoors, and now lightning storms predicted starting today for next 4 days. They bring a little rain, but unfortunately end up starting more fires, and the fire guys are already overwhelmed and of course congress voted not to give our state the emergency help Obama asked for. Sorry to get political but when your whole life is burning around you its hard not to!!!!

This all started around july 10th so its non ending, every time they start to contain another storm with wind and lighting comes up, its the worst summer here since the mountain burning right next to town in 94.

    Ok end of rant....

Well dang it I looked to see if there already was an August 12 before creating this one and missed it. Will make that one into another day.

Marla sorry to hear the smoke isn't clearing up.

I once was driving 11 miles from St. Paul to Minneapolis. Kind of needed to use the bathroom before I left but decided I would wait until I got home. There was a car accident on the highway and I was stuck there for 2 hours. There were retaining walls so I couldn't even get out of my car to go somewhere on foot. Ever since then if there's even a question before heading out the door, I do use the bathroom.

I’m a pretty lazy person who sometimes likes to exercise…

Yesterday was supposed to be my rest day but I did cardio and took a shower before I remembered! And it was a good thing because my toddler woke me up at 3:45 and it took ages for me to get back to sleep. I slept in this am, guilt-free :)

Went over on cals but had a pretty healthy day overall.

Ever since my Aha! moment last week I’ve been feeling so great about WANTING to make healthy choices and setting myself for success instead of feeling like they’re chores. I actually made homemade salad dressing (OMG SO GOOD!) to encourage me to eat more veggies. It totally worked.

And about the potty, I drink so much water every day I should probably go MORE, definitely not less. Bottoms up!

I fell off the wagon this weekend, slowly getting back on. My goodness it is tough! Next week is going to be even worse, I move to a new apartment. It is so scary! I really don't want to quit working out, I am just scared about looking at gyms, and if that doesn't go well, having to start running. My body hates running. Ugh, hope all of you are well!
