Good morning, everyone! Where y'all at?? Everyone doing ok? I have ~15 lbs. to lose and I'm wondering how many of you feel like I do: 15 lbs. isn't very much. My BMI is in the "healthy" range already, but I want to lose weight because I just feel better about myself when I'm a little lighter. But because there isn't a strong health-related motivation behind my weight loss journey, I find myself feeling lacksidasical about it more often that I'd like. I'll go for a few great days of tracking food & exercising and then give myself a little pat on the back for doing so well, which somehow turns into a mental allowance to slack for a few days, completely undoing all the work I just did. Then I'm back to square one again. Anyone else with me? How do you break that cycle? I've been boycotting the scales for a couple weeks and trying to focus on how I *feel* and how my clothes fit instead of the number on the scale. I'm feeling pretty good about my progress and am going to weigh-in tomorrow.... But if it's a good number, I have to keep myself from going into that "reward yourself with a few days of relaxing on the tracking & exercise" front. I'd love to hear ways in which you all push through that. What keeps you motivated??

Me too! I was down to 168.8 on the scale this morning (starting at 176 three weeks ago) and I feel great!0

Yay! Glad some of you are still here! I had a great weigh-in last Friday. Lost almost 4 lbs. in ~3 weeks. Definitely went a little crazy on my food intake on Saturday but reeled it in on Sunday and am now back on track. I have a fancy wedding to go to in 5 weeks and I'd love to fit into this strapless black dress I have..... Goals are good!!0

Hi! I am new to MFP as of today....for exactly the reason you outlined....few days/week of doing well and then relax. Working on making a longer committment in order to truly see results and reach my overall goal....I'd be thrilled with a 10lb loss.....0
