i drink jack & diet coke (one) on rare occaisions. It's not paleo but once in awhile on the weekend we are out somewhere and i want a drink. i learned long ago on my weight loss journey i cannot have alcohol with any kind of regularity and lose weight. It just DOES NOT work for me. Hope that helps a little!0

I do! I am fortunate enough to not have any medical reason to be on a Primal/Paleo diet, I just feel better when I am on it! That being said, if I eat wheat, I tend to feel the worst, and bloat up the most-- so I try to stay away from beer. Beer seems to lead me into craving other wheat products, and it seems to bloat me the worst of all alcohol.
I haven't had issues with vodka (although it is made from grain- I've tried to stick to corn-made vodka), or rum (which is made from sugar cane), or wine, or tequila.
Here's an article I found off Pinterest: http://www.paleoeffect.com/alcohol-guide/0 -

Preprimal I use to drink a lot on the weekends like a lot, a lot. When I started paleo/primal back in 2012 I tried to continue this pattern. But I came to the realisation that I spent so much time, effort and money trying to eat healthy that it seemed ridiculous to keep drinking. Once I removed all the foods that caused me so many issues why would I not remove alcohol too... especially when all it did was make me feel like crap, very counterproductive. Last drink I had was in October last year and thankfully I don't miss it and had no issue giving it up.
I found this article spoke very loudly to me about why I didn't actually need to keep drinking http://paleomovement.com/alcohol-on-the-paleo-diet/0 -

^This. is. awesome.
I still drink a bit of alcohol (mostly wine which makes me the least sick), but my life would be better without it. It is still my drug of choice when I'm a bit tense/shy/nervous/stressed but it would be healthier to find a different outlet for relief. For me. But I still choose to enjoy my wine for now.0 -
