Jumping Update

In case anyone was wondering...I have been trying some of the suggestions I got before and it is helping. Especially "ride the landing." I also had my first lesson with a new trainer last night and that was a huge difference. She actually had me go into position early and stay longer after the jump, so that I had more time to get my position right and figure out what I'm doing wrong. I am shifting my weight on my toes/sliding my legs back, which sets off a chain reaction of staying too upright trying to balance.
So change is good--I am going to keep riding with her once a week and see how it goes. And I am riding out with the hounds tomorrow, so taking the next step in joining the foxhunt. Still trying to find a horse to lease--everyone please keep their fingers crossed for me!
So thanks again to everyone for the tips/encouragement from before. I really love riding and jumping, so I am sticking with it!

Thanks! They are my biggest insecurity in truth - if Im not flexing with all I have I have the big ol bat wings... and I pay attention to how I feel the whole mass of fat move when i ride... so, Im trying to like, do push ups and stuff LOL.
Thats alll basically from holding my heavy *kitten* quarter horses head up off the ground.... ahhhhhhhh what lightness must feel like lol, everytime she has my number (aka Im tired and she knows it) I feel her put a decent 100 pounds right onto the bit and though I cringe kiciing her and whinning out loud, Im like well, at least you are giving me a work out so lift your head damnit!
But it is nice to cheat and throw on a pair of draw reins once in a while....0
