GREAT threadstarter! Of course there are times when I want to give up…but I keep picking myself up, dusting myself off, and moving forward. I recently spoke to a coworker who lost 25lbs last summer and is up 30 this summer. My progress might be slow but it’s staying off.
Thanks for the encouragement! It’s so motivating to see two-a-day workouts—swimming and pilates and training and running, oh my!
I got up this morning and went for a stroll, the first time I’ve really exercised since Friday. I usually try not to let two days go by without working out so that was a long time for me to not workout. I need momentum. I signed my son up for Sun am swim lessons and am planning to have my hubs pick him up after class so I can swim laps since I’ll be there, in my suit! So there's 6 Sunday workouts already squared away
Tuesday Goals Report:
1) Eat within cals +/- 150. No, but close, I was over by 175. Yesterday I made ratatouille for dinner with quinoa and brown rice. It was good but not a lot of protein so I was still hungry after and had bread and cheese.
2) Eat veggies with EVERY meal and snack. I had veggies 4/5 times.
3) Log in dinner FIRST so I can work backwards from there. Check!
4) Plan food in ADVANCE. Check! I did my whole day in the morning before I ate anything.
5) Get my step goal in SEVEN days this week. Monday, check! Tuesday, check!0 -
Just got off work, so exhausted from my one day off getting ready and having swim party last night. fun but tiring!!

I ran 3 ugly miles - I felt stiff & awkward the entire time - but I got them done. Workout with Jason was chest, arms & abs. Found out he's going to be gone September 3-8, and since I don't see him Tuesdays that means I'm missing 3 workouts with him (Wednesday, Thursday & Monday). Fortunately he is working Labor Day so I can get in one workout that week before he goes. He's going out of town for a triathlon and he's been training really hard for it (it's a qualifier to do Ironman in Kona, Hawaii in October) so I hope he does well. I tried to tell him I was taking the week off from working out (and I was serious) but he just kept saying "Yeah whatever" because he doesn't believe me even a little bit.0

Whew! Moving is stressful and tiring! But after a handful of days of working out, I am building a routine I can do in college. I love how good I feel afterwards. I feel blessed that working out hasn't been a terrible experience for me. The idea always seemed so sucky, but once I started, I learned to love it and I can't wait til I put in my time and can start seeing results.0
