Yin yoga burns how many calories per hour please?

I am 37 weight 140 pounds height 5'2.75."

    - at a guess, 50-100 calories. I estimate my Ashtanga session at around 300 per 75 minute session and I think that's generous.

    Yeah, yin isn't a big calorie burner, but it feels SOOOO GOOOOD.

    I second this! If I'm looking to burn calories, yin isn't what I'd pick. It's more of a routine I would do before bedtime.

    I just use the MFP "Stretching - hatha yoga" numbers, no matter WHAT hatha practice I do. (I mean "hatha yoga" in the traditional sense, as the physical practice of asanas, regardless of western style branding.)

    Never underestimate the power of going slow and breathing deeply. I read a research article a while back (can't find it right now though) that seemed to show that yoga *stretching* actually builds muscle and strength.
