Pretty sure we all know this one.

Calcium is an important mineral in human metabolism, making up about 1-2% of our body weight. In addition to its role in bone structure, calcium is used to help control muscle and nerve function, as well as to manage acid/base balance in our blood stream! 1,000 milligrams per day is the Dietary Reference Intake, or DRI for women and men 19-50 years of age.

Calcium sources: Cottage cheese! mmmm Greek yogurt all the way (eat at least 1 per day) and I do take supplemental vitamins

Exercise: Not today. I feel like s**t! Woke up achy with a sore throat and lots of thick phlegm. Gross. Ew. Ugh. TGIF! I have a four-day weekend too.

Food: I didn't get anything ready last night for my lunch today. The office supervisor said she was going to be making the whole clinic some green chili enchiladas, but I'm going to take my lunch because I know her chili is super hot and I have no idea how many calories/fat/carbs are in her enchiladas.

Water: I'm going to be drinking a lot of water with lemon today. I'll let you know how it goes.

I fell off the wagon this week...it seems like the whole week...so I apologize for my absence and non-compliance with this group. I did post a couple times. (Did you even notice I was gone?)

I noticed! We've had a number of people missing, but looks like most are coming back. Kashaas had a good comment a couple days back, noticing people were missing. And she's right - we get busy but if we want to do this and utilize the group, that's up to us. :)

Good morning everyone!!! It's a rainy day here in northwest Indiana.... I'm heading south to Purdue tonight so hopefully there's better weather down there. It could suck to be camping in the rain but I'm gonna have fun no matter what.

I've had a good week so far. I love the gym that I'm going to, it's super awesome! My sister joined with me so I have a fitness partner! Spin class was amazing last night. I have managed at least 10,000 steps Monday thru Thursday. I'm gonna do some yoga this morn and a run if the rains not too bad.

I also started school this week. I'm only taking one class but that's keeping me busy!

Calcium: I eat a ton of yogurt, broccoli, cheese, spinach, almond butter, almonds... I am not a milk girl at all. I take my daily vitamin but I wonder if I should add calcium since I'm over 40.

I have nothing planned food wise, I will have to check back.

Lisa... we missed you! I'm glad you're back! Just keep pushing forward, that's all you can do!

DayDreamer - Glad to see you back. I'm right with you on needing to drink more water. Glad your food and eater are going well!

RckSiren - Yesterday you asked about archery lessons. I have a friend who did them and liked it. He said it takes a lot of focus and mindset. I've tried, but not enough to know anything about it. :)

LifeRunner - Hope P90X3 is going well!

Kashaas - It's nice you and your sister are gym buddies! Does she do the spin class too?

Today is going slow. I'm counting the hours till I'm off work since I have dinner with my parents. I bit tired today, but feeling so much better than I was earlier this week.

Calcium for me is Milk, Yogurt, Broccoli, Cheese, Almonds...

Water today - could be better, (40oz so far)

Exercise - got an arm workout at work. Found out I can't lift 70lbs, but I was safe when trying! So that's good.

    TGIF!

Hello everyone. Yay I'm back from my trip! This calcium list is very interesting, I honestly did not know this many non-dairy foods had calcium in it. I guess I mainly get calcium from salmon, broccoli, and my whey protein shakes. I had a good nutritious breakfast, but I did eat fast food for lunch while I was on the road traveling back home. I'm so glad to be back home.

Food: oatmeal, scrambled egg whites, bacon, and an apple with coffee. Lunch was Popeyes chicken it was Soooo good I had a 2 spicy wings and thigh with a buttermilk biscuit...I'm so tired I may not make to dinner because I'll be sleep

    Exercise: none

Water: I've only drank 4 cups...not a good day on the water tip.
