hi, im lori. i began dieting with cico about four months ago..i lost about two lbs. i began hflc about three weeks ago, and did that for three days, and came upon mda, and primal. i have, in two weeks now lost almost 4 inches overall and six pounds. i would love to find buddies, and support, as i have noticed many people disagree with this woe. thank you.

Welcome, there is plenty of support in here, we tend to be a tad slow on the weekends. You will love eating this way unless you are doing it badly, I am mainly primal due to the fact I eat dairy but I have gone without it and reintroduced properly with no ill effects.0

I've been Primal/Paleo for over two years, sometimes ketogenic, sometimes less so. This is my permanent lifestyle.
My best advice is to shift focus to HEALTH rather than weight loss. A healthy body will shed excess fat but it's not a race and all one does by mucking with the process (calorie obsession, scale obsession) is to cause negative issues later on.0 -

It can be frustrating when people disagree with what you're doing. Just remember, you're doing it for you and not them. Their understanding isn't a requisite of your efforts. I know at work people look shocked and disappointed when I turn down cookies, candies, office goodies. My office knows how to party, so there's always something tempting laying about. Just keep your quiet resolve. Some will understand, some will eventually accept, and others will eventually just shrug and call you crazy. Just remember, you're crazy, alright...crazy awesome!0

Congratulations on your current success! I absolutely love this way of eating and feel 100% better physically and mentally.
I totally agree with Kinger138, "just keep your quiet resolve." I usually don't tell people about my diet because I really don't care for the judgment or the "but you don't need to lose weight!" remarks. If people offer me something I don't eat I just say "no thanks" and if they ask why I just say for example "grains don't settle well with me."
