Hi everyone, something weird is happening to me, i stopped doing cardio after weights one month ago to focus on building muscle mass, i am lifting heavier weights so i must have gained muscle mass, my omron device which measure upper body fat have been steady going down but my tanita which measure lower body fat has went up. i look leaner so i guess that confirms what omron says. Anyway as long as i lose fat from my upper body which i am happy. i may ditch tanita away.

Awesome, Kathy. I *love* my walks now, especially when I read from Dr. Robert Lustig that exercise should not be used for weight LOSS, but to get RID OF Visceral Fat and build muscle. I *do* need to start my free weight program...
For the last few days, even when I ate an ice cream two days ago when celebrating with family, I weighed in at 16.1. I *do* think I am gaining muscle in my legs since I've been walking the hills. I am no longer interested in losing weight. I look at myself in the mirror, and am pleased at what I see. My clothes fit COMFORTABLY, no pulling or tugging...lol. Continued goal is to get RID of the visceral fat. My DD will go for another DEXA scan because she has been on a strict program of 500 calories on Dr.s supervision and given HCG, a hormone that we produce when pregnant to protect the fetus. She is just sooo focused...and I applaud her. As for me, being skinny fat all my life, I just want the visceral fat GONE. Thank you for this forum until we get to where we want to be (big smile)...
