    WOWZA!! I am so impressed with these numbers, Maelyn, Vanessa, Malia, Leanna, and all of our awesome losers!! Paula, way to keep it steady!! That is for sure a solid loss :) I'm playing the back and forth game, but I am going to get moving in the right direction again.

    8/15/14= 281.2 (+.4 lbs. This month is proving to be a challenge, but I'm not giving up yet)

    Weigh-ins will be on Wednesdays
    8/06/14 - 291.8 (+3.8) (what I get for not logging like I should)
    8/13/14 - 283.8 (-8.0) (I am quite proud of this number given where I have spent the last 10 days.)
    8/20/14 - 280.8 (-3.0) (the scale is moving in the preferred direction now. I am getting back on track with exercise and food)

    8/6 - 215. (+1.5). If you saw my Frustrations post, you'd know I could have gained much more. I have been struggling and whiny way too long! I think I'm getting a grip again...

    8/13 - 213.5 Oh hey!! I lost the 1.5 pounds I gained! I just realized that I recovered! Now to make some progress!

    8/20 - 217 +3.5 Okay...this is some kind of freakish anomaly!! I'm going to own it, because I have been making some poor choices, but I will be reweighing myself daily for the next week.

    Way to go Vanessa, Maelyn, and Pixy for putting up some great numbers! And Leanna, I'm rowing that "Time to Own It" boat right alongside you this month. I often think on how I would get discouraged and give up in the past whenever I would see a small gain at the scale; all those small gains eventually added up to big gains, which is how I found myself at 379 lbs. a little over a year ago. As I told my doctor then, I think 35 years is enough time to have this monkey on my back; over the last year, I may have cuddled him occasionally, but for the most part I'm getting better and better at putting him back in his cage :wink:

    I've gone overboard with increasing my daily limit to 1000 cal/day. Even though Derek & I try to keep temptation out of the house (for my sake, not his), I discovered that peanuts and honey with almond milk and a bit of cereal, provides a sweet treat. Unfortunately it's also packed with calories.

    Like Leanna, I am owning this. Need to get back on the wagon. Hopefully, I've run out of honey...:ohwell:

    8/25/14= 230.8 (+1.4) not bad for being on vacation but I really have to buckle down and work at this again. The upward trend is very upsetting to me.

    Total Difference: -11.0

    I have changed my ticker to show the total difference between my highest and where I am now. I just want to see the bigger picture from that point. 28 lbs to go and I will be at my lowest since 2004. 2004 was a good year for losing weight (ended up off the wagon due to a suicide I blamed myself for - long story.) To beat my weight in 2004, however, I will need to get down to 202. I will eventually get to the point of not typing "3" instead of "2" due to my automated reflex with my weight. I hope. :smokin:

    @Debbie - I know the upward trend is definitely off putting as I was recently there myself. It will not stay as a trend. You will find your way back down. As for the grazing almost food item in my house has to be cooked to avoid me doing grazing. If I want something 9/10 I have to go through the process of cooking it making me reconsider as I'm prepping do I really need this right now? Otherwise if there are some quick food fixes, even if they are not healthy ones, I will chow down most of the day.

    08/31/14 - 272.8 (-4.2) (I beat my goal!)

    Sudden drop in weight comes after TOM has passed, and I have been taken off of a medicine that causes a /lot/ of weight. I was countering the drug a bit with lifestyle changes, and now having been taken off of it the powers of weight stalling/gain are dissipating the more it gets out of my system.

    Total Difference: -15.2

    @Tara - Congratulations on your first 100. If you have not already done so, ditch those bigger clothes. You are never going to need them again. Like the saying goes, "I am not losing weight. I am getting rid of it. I have no intention on ever finding it again."

    @Paula - You did well this month. You have made it through the month to all the opportunities that are found not only in tomorrow, but at any given moment time. Good job!

    8/27 - 212 -5. I neglected to weigh in on the 27th, but finally got it done. I knew the last weigh in was some water weight issue. This was a month of stress and it showed in my numbers...they were all over the place. I ended up with a loss of only 1.5 pounds this month, but I was worried I'd end up with a gain so I'll take it and try harder.

If, like me, you didn't have a stellar month, hopefully, you had a learning experience and are feeling motivated to do more and expect better for, and from, yourself. If you are like Maelyn and Tara, who had amazing accomplishments this month, good for you! Way to inspire and encourage us all.

    Thanks, Leanna!! I, too, am awed and inspired by the accomplishments of everyone in our group, as well as the resolve and positive attitudes on display when we have days/weeks when things get rough. Hopefully September will be a better month for us all! :happy:

This was a month of stress and it showed in my numbers...they were all over the place. I ended up with a loss of only 1.5 pounds this month, but I was worried I'd end up with a gain so I'll take it and try harder.

    That's awesome, Leanna! We always seem to have these weeks when we know we're holding onto water (and the stress sure doesn't help). We're gonna keep truckin' in September!
