hello everyone, my name is Sara and I am a road warrior!
I have been on and off MFP several times and every time I get off of it is when I get frustrated because I don't know what to log.
I eat out all the time! I mean, ALL THE TIME! I travel Monday-Thursday and when I am home Friday-Saturday-Sunday I feel guilty about grocery shopping because even if I do buy food I end up throwing away most of it Sunday night before I leave town Monday morning again.
Like I said, I have been on MFP several times before but I never considered joining a group. This time I am trying to do things differently so here I am!

Hi Sara! Wow. You travel a lot. For your home meals you can split fresh meat packages into manageable portions and freeze the rest. I add marinade prior to freezing so its good to go. Same for cooked meals, freeze some.
Squash keeps a long time: spaghetti squash is one I like to cook.
Hope this helps

Probably a bit late but better than never I guess????
I travel a lot, many hours in different offices and hotels and airports and all that.
If you don't have to do business meals every day and I know sometimes they are inevitable then it's a good thing to use Google to find your nearest supermarket. Doesn't matter what country I'm in, if I'm in one place for longer than a day, is down the supermarket and get some stuff I can actually eat.
Always an adventure to be had and generally is a lot cheaper. You can get fresh produce/ready made salads in most big places or at least something to eat day a bit of chicken out cheese with. And if course, bottled water is sometimes a must. Another a being you can get some different, unusual and just plane strange ingredients and ideas for when you do get home.
Anyone else do this?0 -
I am new to the road warrior lifestyle, been doing this since February. I have gained back 25 lbs that I had lost previous. I work on the road Mon-Thurs and back on home Friday to Sunday. I have two young kids which menas cramming a bunch of things into 3 days. I love my job and am starting to make better decisions but know I need to rely on "experts with good ideas. Please feel free to add me as a friend!0

One of the reasons I love MFP is the amount of food items already loaded into the system, and the ability to scan before I eat. I'm a Sunday - Thursday traveler (wish I could get to my client in a reasonable amount of time Monday morning...). I'm lucky enough to be in one place for a longer period of time. But it still takes a lot of planning. When I started this job, I was 40lbs lighter than my heaviest a couple months ago. I'd started MFP, then stopped when it got too hard. Bad excuse, but I'm getting better. Deaths of both parents, AND being on the road didn't help. Losing weight is doable while on the road, just takes planning. I've found the places which list calories also helps me make better choices. It's a lot harder when I'm home weekends and my husband wants to go out to dinner, etc.0
