Lost 52 lbs in 131 days
Just posting an update. After 131 days, I'm down 52 lbs., weighing in at 178 lbs. This is right after I spent 2 weeks in Hawaii (combination of work & vacation). I kept up with regular workouts, even working out longer (more cardio). I increased my calorie goal to more of a maintenance level, while there. I did gain about…

Where is everyone?
Hi! I'm new to MFP, but have been a road warrior most of my life... I just decided to get back to being healthy about 3 weeks ago. I live near Olympia, WA & mostly travel WA, OR, ID, MT, and HI (with periodic trips to CA, Dallas, Nashville, D.C., Orlando, Las Vegas, and more). I would say I travel at least 50% of the time.…

Airport food, airline food, hotel food and restaurant food
hello everyone, my name is Sara and I am a road warrior! I have been on and off MFP several times and every time I get off of it is when I get frustrated because I don't know what to log. I eat out all the time! I mean, ALL THE TIME! I travel Monday-Thursday and when I am home Friday-Saturday-Sunday I feel guilty about…

New to group...Ideas??
Hello all. I was happy to see this group but was hoping to see more posts. I travel out of town for about 30% and needed help in getting ideas for healthy choices while on the road. The problem is that I travel with a group of folks and often do not have my own vehicle. I would like some ideas on what I could do to eat…

Hello
Not sure how active the group is, I just joined and like the idea of people "suffering" (Ha!) with the same types of issues. Please feel free to introduce yourselves! Good luck with your goals.

Road Warrior Turns Over New Leaf
I've been traveling for work anywhere from 1-2 weeks during the month for the last 5 years. During that time I've let what used to be once-in-a-while splurges on the concierge level become a regular occurrence, and have used every excuse in the book to NOT hit the fitness room, even though I almost always packed my workout…

NOOB
Hello all.... just trying to find a way to 'fit' in. I work about 6 - 7 months a year, and know first hand the challenges of maintaining a regular workout regime. I have to warn you up front, my wife does not approve of me on this site, so my time on here may be sporadic. I do better with it when I'm out on a job. Friend…

Room yoga
I have found two things to help flexibility while on the road. The first is Yoga Paws. There are a few variations on these, but the idea is the same. Lightweight, easy to pack gloves and footwear to use in lieu of a yoga mat. The second is podcast yoga. I like yogamazing. The instructor, Chaz, is a little goofy, but so am…

Long Haul Flights and Airport Choices, Anyone?
Hi all, I am a frequent "long-haul" traveler, mostly on planes. After a year-long hiatus in which I did not travel due to illness, I fell completely away from my exercise program (with a consequence of a twenty pound weight gain). I am now counting calories for the first time in my life! Am concerned about returning to the…
