...but haven't fixed yet?

I'll start...I know I don't plan my meals correctly. I always eye ball it and eat it BEFORE I plug it into My Fitness Pal. I'm trying to change this. Today I programmed my entire day and we will see how I follow through for dinner after my workout.

Another thing I know I do wrong...drink beer! Some people have a weakness for chocolate...some for cake...mine is really bitter, hoppy, calorie-dense IPAs. This is one I won't fix......I'll just work around it :).

I mix up my weight periodization with metcons, probably not getting the best of both but throwing in a timed challenge every few weeks is fun for me. So it's part of the balance even though it may be counter productive.

I buy thing I KNOW I will overeat. It is crazy to think that I can eat in moderation after a long day. I need to keep better food on hand.

I know exactly what you mean... Some times I will go shopping and buy like a box of cookies or chips or something thinking I'll only have the serving size. Nope, that's going to get eaten in a handfuls.

Metcons are my treat for the day! I love them. So is weight periodization basically deloading from metcons? I'm not familiar with it. Did a cursory Google search and it looks like some sort of structured circuit...

I do lots of things that I know are wrong, but my two biggest ones are: 1 - Drinking beer (not gonna change) and 2 - The constant gaining and losing lbs (lost 10 gain 10). It's a disaster. Usually the beer drinking is involved in the gaining. When I only have a couple a week or when I switch to vodka, I'm able to maintain or lose lbs.

Eating in social situations. I haven't learned how to curb the "eat because it's there" mentality.

I just went through this again on Saturday. Was a meeting and there was cookies, crackers, cheese, and drinks. And I ate all of it, even though I wasn't really hungry. I ate it because it was sitting right in front of me or because someone offered it to me. Then I felt awful (physically and emotionally).

And I know what I should do in those situations... be on the far side of the room from the food, keep a drink of water in your hands, focus on the conversation - not the food, etc. But all off that slides from my mind the minutes I walk in the room. *sigh*
