Daily Chit-Chat

Ok, I've been thinking a lot, lol. I thought that instead of crowding our introduction thread with daily gabbing, we could start a separate chat thread and leave the other for introducing ourselves.

Today is a good one for me. I'm starting to feel better (I've had bronchitis and the antibiotics are starting to work). My significant other had his second viral load run after finishing his Hepatitis C treatment and it came back "none detected." (Which for all intents and purposes means he's cured! Praise God!) I finally got to talk to someone in customer service about my FitBit which quit working a week ago and they are sending me a replacement and are even sending me the violet band that I originally wanted. Awesome customer service. And since I'm feeling better, I will be able to participate in my Walk to End Alzheimer's. (Michelle, if I'm breaking any rules here just let me know and I'll remove this) If you would be interested in donating to fund research to put an end to this horrible disease, I would love it if you would sponsor me with a donation at http://act.alz.org/site/TR/Walk2014/MO-StLouis?px=8210901&pg=personal&fr_id=5226. No amount is too small because every penny helps. I walk in honor of my Grandma Elliott who suffers from this awful disease. I can think of nothing worse than losing my memories.

I hope everyone is having a fabulous day. Do you have any big plans for the weekend?

I think this topic is a good one too nice to see members making the group there own about things that are their minds. No rules broken Ms. Dee anything for a great cause is never breaking the rules.

Glad to hear you are feeling better and that your partner is cured

Thanks. So how is everyone's Monday going so far? Mine is going to be a pretty boring one. I need to do some cleaning of this apartment, work on some therapy homework, and get started on my ladies' bible study lesson. This evening I have a WLS support group meeting (also a VERY important part of your success). The psychologist that leads our group normally is on vacation so we are getting together on our own. Usually I have to travel across the city on the buses and trains but tonight we are holding it walking distance from my house. It's about a 3 mile walk but it's doable, especially with the cooler weather. I know I lead such an exciting life you all are jealous, right? lol

Hope everyone has a fantastic day whatever your day may hold for you!!!

I am having a hard time fighting a craving. I have been craving a BLT for 3 days. Not doable since I can't have bread or lettuce. Hoping it goes away soon!

Hello everyone!!! How are things going? We've been a little quiet. I'm trying to figure out who is having surgery when. Give a holler with your surgery date so we can cheer you on and welcome you to the Losers' Bench!

Things are really good here. In the last 9 days I've lost 6 pounds by increasing my caloric intake. Who would have thunk? lol. Not a lot going on here this weekend. Just the same ole' same ole'. But that's ok. Things are really starting to pull together for us, so I'll take boring. Michael's hepatitis c viral load test came back not detected for the second time so the doctors consider him "cured." Michael's pains are starting to subside and he is finally able to decrease his pain meds. Hopefully he'll be off of them before too long. And last but not least, since we have finally finished paying off a huge debt we are beginning to get caught up on bills and our financial outlook is looking a heck of a lot better.

So, what are your plans for the weekend? Whatever you do, I hope you have a great one!!
