This is a very supportive place to be for people who have had VSG or are on the journey to have it.
I too just completed the 6 month pre-op program a few weeks ago.
I have an appt. for a consult with the surgeon in 9 days. I'm getting very excited about it but somewhat nervous too.
I live in Canada and our health care system is a little different here.
I am hoping that the surgeon will support my preference to have VSG.
I have a lot of sensitivities & think I might be a prime candidate for complications with RNY.
I'm just not sure how much say I will have in which procedure it will be. I will soon find out.
There are a lot of really informative threads on this site so feel free to explore and read a lot of the ones that apply to you at this point.

I have also just finished my 6 month diet period, I go for a psych eval on Thursday and then as long as everything is okay they will submit my information for approval. I'm getting excited but really nervous! Good luck!
