Today's lesson was about doing miracles that our faith might be stronger.
Bless Angie6714, Jillanderson621 and Lyttmab with your grace and love that miracles might be showered down on them and the abundance of blessings in their lives will be a testimony to your promises and in so doing, will strengthen our faith and others.

Creator God,
With all your miracles of creation, putting the universe into motion , for you said, 'let there be' and 13.6 billion light years of universe are out there for all to see. Yet, as today's lesson says, people choose to despise you and as a result they will despise us too.
Our lives are often challenged by unexpected twists that don't always make sense, just like people hating for no reason doesn't make sense. You warned us that this will happen.
Please equip our members today, especially Angie6714, Jillanderson621 and Lyttmab. Empower them to overcome all the challenges that they have in their life. Help us to see these 'miracles' in our lives and give you the credit.
You are marvelous and we fail you, but you love us still. Forgive us and bless us with your love and grace. In Jesus name. Amen.0 -
Dear God,
On this day after September 11th, when we continue to feel the massive sorrow of the many who lost loved ones in the attacks, we continue to ask for comfort for those who mourn. Conditions around the world remind us that there are many reasons to mourn.
Jesus was a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief and as we celebrate the visit of the women to the empty tomb in the gospel of John, we give thanks that you meet us where we are and equip us to every good work.
Bless Angie6714; Jillanderson621; and Lyttmab. You are acquainted with their grief, their challenges, their goals. May you grant them comfort, wisdom and power to meet all their needs, that we might praise your name.

You have a perfect plan for each of us, even on days where the world would claim false superstitions rule (like Friday the 13th) and we are victims of the influences beyond our scope. Nothing is too hard for you. And as the Scriptures proclaim in today's lesson, we are to reject the false prophets, but listen in our hearts to your word and trust you, for you will guide us in the way we should go. On this fifteenth day after Epiphany, our Scriptures spoke of the struggles Christ had on earth--how he was not physically attractive, he struggled with life; dealt with pain and sorrow; how people didn't respect him or find him appealing as a star-type leader. We are comforted by his familiarity with pain and challenge, so we can boldly ask that you help Angie6714; Jillanderson621; and Lyttmab with their lives and challenges.
