Beef Roast recipe ideas?

Hey! I get a big grassfed order of beef every other month, and it always includes a massive beef roast. I'm not a fan of pot roast or stews.

Is there any other way I can cook a beef roast? Thanks for your ideas in advance!

    1. If I wasn't already married I'd ask for your hand. Because meat delivery.

    2. I have not done this, but I am about to.

We toss it in the crock pot to cook, then after it's done, shred it and make BBQ beef with it, using our favorite BBQ sauce. Whether it works for you might depend on why you're not a fan of pot roast, though.

There's also the option of grinding it up into hamburger (seriously, you can do this with just about any cut).

I throw it in a crock pot with no other liquid, shred it and then load on a bunch of homemade BBQ sauce and eat it over a sweet potato or on my favorite cabbage with bacon saute.. NOM.

This is good. I add bell peppers.

This is as close as I can find to my dad's recipe, the roast comes out firm and is pink in the middle. http://www.lifesambrosia.com/2010/12/garlic-studded-herb-roast-beef-recipe.html- I'm saving for next time, I get tired of shredded beef in the crockpot too.

You guys are awesome! I can't believe I never realized that I can shred it into BBQ beef. That sounds right up my alley! All the recipes looked good, in fact!

What about cutting it up before cooking into "steaks"? What cut is it, that will help me more.

I LOVE beef roasts... mostly because I have perfected my cooking method and eat most of them rare. I do not like well done beef.

However, as mentioned, you do not have to keep it a roast, CUT IT UP. Yes, you can thaw it and refreeze it. All my grass fed meat comes frozen, as it must, and thawing it partially in order to cut it up is not "bad" in any way.
