NSV: The best side effect of the keto diet

I know the diet affects everyone differently but I absolutely love what is going on with my sleep.
It is 6 15 am. I have been awake since 5 00 am with no alarm and no coffee. I feel fully rested and for the 3rd time this week, I made breakfast for the kids.
5 weeks ago I was a complete insomniac and had to be on my 3rd cup of coffee to approach consciousness never before 7am.
There is no effort involved. I just wake up. At about 10 30 PM, I just fall asleep if I happen to be lying down.
This is nothing short of a miracle for me. I have struggled with insomnia and morning grogginess for as long as I can remember.
Had to post something since I am the only one awake right now.

    I understand how you feel. I suffered with insomnia for about 20 years, A couple months ago, it just went away, I've only been on LCHF for almost 2 weeks, so the insomnia ended before that. But I'm definitely having increased energy now and I'm more alert when I wake up. For the first time in decades, I wake up and am ready to go. LCHF rocks!!!

    I had insomnia for several years which ended once I started keto, too. The insane increase in energy has been my favorite side effect. I used to be too tired to cook dinner after work. Now I go to the gym, clean up around the apartment, cook dinner, make something for lunch the next and then relax. It's night and day.
  • Glad I'm not the only one noticing major energy differences after a short time on Keto.

    Problem is I'm not used to having so much energy so I find my self feeling at a loss as to what to do. lol
