fake six pack

Here's a funny one: I'm having a two-pack, and when I flex my abs I'm just about seeing two more of those below. Only: they aren't muscles but pure padding. Anyone experience something similar?

I get fake serratus anterior in the right pose. It's just the fat over the top of it conforming to the same shape as the muscle.

Basically if you pose a certain way and in good lighting you can get all kinds of neat stuff to show up that doesn't necessarily reflect day-to-day leanness, IMO.

Sara and I may do a thread on this if we have time on her next visit.

Yes, it must be something like that, though other people do see my fake 2-pack as well. It's not in certain light and angle but simply there. I find it seriously funny :)

Yes I have exactly this. I have both side lines and the middle line and what looks like the top 2/4 (light depending) abs, but when you poke or view from the side it's sadly still just a layer of fat.

I'm finding it really annoying, I can see biceps, triceps, forearm muscles, delts are coming, calf muscles, quads (I never realised somehow how complex the quad is!) and hamstrings. I just store excess body fat on my front torso which is good for the boobies, not so good for the abs!

I'm sure it will budge in the end, MRH.
In my case it will take quite a bit longer as I have a rather thin torso, but arms and legs are a bit on the heavy side still.

Some people, naming no names, are very happy with us storing the excess fat on the boobies!

I tend to store excess fat on my posterior chain and knees - so getting any leg definition to show is a bish.

However, I also can get a 6 pack to show in certain lights - and it ain't no 6 pack. Having visible obliques like I do, even at a highish BF% due to their development helps the illusion.

Yep. In the morning when I wake up, I can flex my abs in front of the mirror and see 2-4 abs pretty clearly. But they are soft as hell. I'm probably at least 15% BF, if not 20%.

How on earth you guys do BF percentages I'll never know. All us girls are so different with fat distribution that it must take one hell of an eye.

I'd be grateful for a bit less on the boob front and a bit more on the booty front, so what I have is boobies and I have to work like hell for any sort of booty! And it's still very much a work in progress. Why couldn't that extra padding be on my butt

....hey, we know that abdominal fat can lead to problems. I'm not aware of any studies that indicate that excess fat in the breasteses causes issues so my "happiness" is really about health.

My point is that I could do without fat storage emphasising the moobs. I'm an equal opportunities breast appreciator.
