Are weekends hard for you to be healthy? Why?
Where do you succeed, what's a challenge?
And check in both today and tomorrow!
You know the drill.

I'm checking in early while I'm already on the computer and so that I don't worry about forgetting to later.
The plan for today (Saturday) is to eat a light breakfast, walk around the mall for a couple of hours, eat korean bbq for lunch (i know thats bad, but I have a date with my husband and I can't pass up korean bbq lol) then eat a light dinner. I'll let you know in my check-in tomorrow how that plan went lol.
Weekends are a little harder for me because that's the time I get to spend with my family and when we get together we like to eat. It's also my down time from the hard week so I don't like to go to the gym even though I know I should. Especially now that it's football season, I'm REALLY into football so I spend all day Sunday watching games and snacking on junk. I can try switching chips for carrot sticks, but I know that won't last very long lol. Its just not as satisfying. The only good thing I do on the weekends is I'm still consistent with my water intake. I don't care for soda so I drink plenty of water. The only time I feel like I HAVE to drink soda is with pizza lol. And that's for Monday night football lol.0 -
One of my close friends sent me a picture of them completing a 10k in under an hour. I'm happy for them. They are working hard towards running a half marathon and marathon, goals they set up for themselves and are accomplishing...
I am not doing the same. As supportive as I am to others. I am not accomplishing my own goals. I don't even have my own goals defined out. And if I'm being really honest, I've gained weight and loss strength.
So. With that. My Saturday check in.
Exercise - nothing other than work again.
Water - Only up to 20oz right now (half way through the night). I woke up really dehydrated this "morning" so I need to do better.
Food: Up to 1100 calories and haven't eaten dinner yet. I try for 1300 normally. I probably should up it but I'm not doing anything that's that much exercise, plus on nights my body is just confused on if I am sleeping or awake, thus I'm not hungry at all.
Happy Sunday everyone!0 -
Yesterday went a little better than I expected. We skipped the korean BBQ and I had a BBQ chicken wrap instead which is a lot healthier, but still tastes yummy I ended up taking my dad to a baseball game. I didn't buy any food or drinks at the game trying to be good, but was starving afterwards and grabbed a cheeseburger from McDonald's, so that ended up being bad. However, I did get quite a workout walking to the stadium and walking around inside and then back home again.
Today is football Sunday. I already know we're grilling burgers. I have a hard time logging things when we make food from scratch. Some of my recipes are stored in mfp but it's a pain in the butt to input every single thing. So today might not go so well, but I'm still trying to be good. I'm starting to feel ready to jump back on the fitness band wagon again.

Ann, I know how you feel. When I see my friends posting on instagram how great they are doing with their weight loss or these marathons they are running I feel happy for them but bad that I'm not doing the same things. And some of them started at the same time I did so I feel even worse. One of my friends became one of those body builders who enter competitions and she looks AMAZING and I just wish I had her discipline.
Just remember the advice you gave me when I was feeling down. Set smaller goals and reward yourself when you accomplish them. For now I'm trying to take it a day at a time. Reminding myself every morning that I have a choice to make.
You really are a great motivator and very supportive of your friends and all of us. We appreciate it, but don't forget about yourself. Don't be too hard on yourself either. I noticed you were working night shifts and that takes a toll on anyone. Hope you feel better soon.0 -
The hardest part of staying healthy on weekends is the lack of structure in the day. Durning weekdays everything is planned since I have to be at certain places at certain times. I stay home most every weekend, so there is no such structure. I at least try and keep the diet, and Sunday is my exercise-free day. I'm not doing so well on the water today, so I'll have to work on that.0

I didn't do as well in the food department as I would have liked. Got my exercise in this weekend though. Even when I did want to, I made myself and feel good about that. I didn't drink my 3.5L of water today will have to work better on that tomorrow. :drinker:0
