HeIlo everyone,

My last MFP update pic shows my last non surgical weight loss attempt. I'm now more than I was before that attempt, at 202. Work may not seem like a lot to many of you; however at 4'11" It doesn't take much. I'm 47% body fat, have high blood pressure, sleep apnea, knees are burning out yada..yadda... I'm done with the roller coaster and have decided to step off. I'm scheduled to have my RNY dramatically change my life Oct. 13... So with that being said, I know the pre-op diet is going to suck, and worry about my will power not making it. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks in advance,
Christal

I'm coming up to surgery on Tuesday (9/30). No tricks, just following the plan. I bought into the plan fully back in April and this week is just the last pre-surgery step. The biggest thing I have noticed during the liquid phase is how I still am planning dinner as if I was eating normally. I guess it became an afternoon habit to figure out where I was calorie wise and plan dinner. Then I remember that tonight's dinner was planned back in April!

You'll do fine, just decide that you are doing it right!

I could see myself doing that Rob, figuring out calories. I planned on this since June so I get it. Just wondering how it goes with family and kids too.

My family has been very supportive, going out of their way not to tempt me. But last night I cooked dinner for the family (minus me) and it felt fine. I had to remember to not taste after seasoning, not eat the green pepper ends, which are part of the usual cooking routine. We made it through fine.

    You've got this!
