What do you eat when you aren't feeling well?

The last 2 days I have had nausea that has basically killed my appetite. When I wasn't low carbing, if I didn't feel well, I would eat some carbs (crackers, bread, etc) just to have something in my stomach and keep my energy level up. Since I have been low carbing, if I eat that kind of stuff it makes me irritable, moody and brings my energy level down so I avoid it all together. I try to stay under 75g of carbs per day and the carbs I do eat come from veggies, fruit and sprouted grain. Yesterday I barely managed to get in 700 cal. because I was experiencing nausea all day - I didn't eat anything til about 2pm (my fit foods LC meal). What do you eat when you are feeling crappy, but still have to function and have some energy?

i get the same way. all i want is a grilled cheese or gatorade when i'm sick.
chicken soup (without noodles, or with zucchini noodles instead) is always good. you don't have to put a lot of chicken into it, but the broth alone can be soothing on all fronts, especially if it's homemade.0 -
I'm feeling crappy and I'm making some chicken soup right now. I add some greens at the end (collards, kale, or bok choy) instead of noodles. Today I have lots of extra garlic. My appetite isn't so great right now either but I'm trying to make sure I get enough fluids (tea, water). You could also just drink some plain chicken bone broth until you feel a bit better. Good luck!0

Last week I spent most of the week in bed with a fever, muscle and joint aches, the works. Sickest I've ever been I think. I got through with Atkins bars, diet Lemonaide and the odd coffee with cream in it when I felt I could. A piece of toast would have been great, but I haven't had bread in about a year, wasn't about to start now.0

I felt this way yesterday, my belly was not happy. I knew part of it was from stress, but I also woke up hungry, and as is my recent custom, only had BPC in the morning. By 11:30 I felt gross. I snacked on peanut butter and celery and was much better afterwards.
I am also struggling some days with hitting my calorie targets due to lack of appetite. I find myself making myself eat more towards the end of the day to get there, and know I'm lacking protein so eating grilled chicken, left over beef or other low fat and low carb items. I'm aiming for Keto right now, so my carbs are really low and I kinda feel like I am getting too much fat.
But I am losing and since that is my goal, I am happy with the progress.0
