It's hard to push yourselves everday, day in and day out. Sometimes it's hard to keep that momentum. So, do it just for today.

A few notes:
- New roll call is up, if you haven't posted there please do it. I find it helpful to better get to know each other and for those who are new know who is currently posting.
- Please respond and talk to each other both here and in our statuses & profiles. We are a support group and in helping others we may end up helping ourselves even more. I know it's easy to just post your day's check in, but sometimes those posting (or who are not currently posting) need a hand, including ourselves.
- And if you haven't responded, please let me know if you want one-a-day threads like we are doing now, or do our daily posts in 1 thread for the week. We've had 4 responses so far. Come monday I'll switch it up or keep it the same depending on how people respond.0 -
My challenge today has been staying awake. I haven't been sleeping a whole lot, and it catches up to me around this time of day, which I go to sleep not too long after, but I only sleep for a few hours. Blah.
Did roll call!
Food: Oatmeal w/ nuts for breakfast. Stuffed bell pepper and cottage cheese for lunch. Chicken burrito for dinner.
Water intake: very poor. that's that.
exercise: Takes everything outta me to stay awake...no exercise today. It's just another excuse, I know.0 -
Hi everyone, I like the idea of having the posts together in one thread for the week. That way the posts stay current for a week instead of having only the one day to read and reply to posts. I think most of us are not going into past threads to read about past check-ins. I also think it will encourage more interaction because there will be a lot more content in the thread and hopefully that will create more discussion between us. It also helps people like me who forget to check in and it won't feel as bad when I need to check in for a couple days lol honestly though, it won't matter to me either way.
check-in...
Today is going just ok. I copied and pasted my meal log so far. I'm still under my calories, but i haven't had dinner yet and I have just under 500 calories left. I have no idea what to make and my husband will be home in an hour. I didn't exercise, but I drank a LOT of water. For my monthly challenge (lose 10 pounds), I made better choices and kept my portions at a minimum. I endulged in a couple of goodies, but overall I'm happy with my day.

My challenges today were to resist temptation when I went out for lunch with my friend, which I did -yay- and to get enough water and some cardio in. Two out of three accomplished and still have some time left to get in the rest of my water :-)
Just posted to roll call.
Loved some of the costumes and stories given in roll call ! I would comment more specifically to individuals, but it's already 7:45 PM here and , if I post comments tonight and there is a new post topic in the morning , I don't think anyone will see it. This is why I really feel a weekly thread with daily topics posted within that thread will foster much more interaction.0 -
Would it still be daily accountability with a weekly thread? Daily threads do make it very difficult to respond to each others posts as you have to keep scrolling back the days and miss things. The way it works at the moment is a diary format to celebrate successes of the day (which is very important in weight loss) but when I cant see the success in the day I dont post plus I am struggling to get on in the evening and am scrolling back a day a posting a day late. Sorry I've not been much help there's advantages both ways, but for interaction between each other it needs to be longer.0

I just realized I never commented yesterday.
Food: All the same as before, except for dinner I had a sandwich: low carb bread with turkey, cheese, spinach, pesto, and shallots.
Water: Lots and lots
Exercise: Got in some walking (20 minutes) but still haven't gotten in an actual work out. I probably could have tried harder to last night.
As for the accountability thing, I see GMStb10's point about sometimes not seeing the success on certain days, but my thought is that the whole point of posting daily is to be honest and to share the low times as well as the high. It's about being accountable to the group and to yourself. Sometimes, it's also nice/helpful to see a person's hard days or days they might not succeed as much because then you know that you're not the only one that struggles. That's the way I see it, anyways.0
