Good morning finally feeling a lot better so I managed to get some walking done this morning.

@texasgardnr, I have a Fitbit Zip, and if I remember to a) put it on, and b) record the beginning and ending mileage reading, I can see how far I walk outside. So far, so good, although I won't be surprised if I mess up sometime during the month.

Great Job Alex! You didn't "try to run," you actually DID run! Walking and running together is supposed to be better for you that either walking or running alone so do not belittle your run! Walk and run; walk and run; walk and run all you want! You go!!!!! :drinker:0 -

Good, good morning Walkers. It was 47 degrees and breezy this fine autumn morning. I loved it. I walked 4.5 miles outside and then finished up with 1 miles with Leslie Slim and Sleek.

Today ran 4 miles and walked 3 miles. The reason I started to run was that I got blisters from my walking shoes, so I found old running shoes. They are not very comfortable for walking but good for run+walk. I discovered that it is much more fun to walk+run than walk alone. Time goes much faster and the running makes those endorphins that walking does not.0 -

You are welcome! Almost everything I read says that walking and running together is great for fat burning and weight loss so I am glad you found your "old shoes." I find that mountain hiking also gets endorphins going in a way that walking, even more miles than I can climb, does not. I have to say that you sound much more motivated again and it is good to "hear"! Walk+run!0 -
