Come Monday we'll try posting daily in one weekly thread for this month. You'll still check in daily, just in one thread for the week. I hope you all join along with this. We'll vote again at the end of the month to keep it or not. But, note I'll go back to daily posts in November if we aren't getting 40 posts per thread, because that means people aren't posting as much as they do now....

With that announcement out of the way...

Check in for Saturday and Sunday! :)

Night fire- absolutely setbacks don't mean you are out of the game! Sometimes it's two steps forward, one step back, two steps forward ......but you are still moving forward ! And great job on the exercise!

13strong- so sorry you are under the weather- hope you feel better soon!

GMS- LOVE your glittering weekend well wishes. I know how to post pictures , but don't know how to save or post animated ones, would you mind telling me how to do that?

I am very , very thankful today that my husband , who is an architect, didn't fet laid off like the 13 other professionals did in his firm today ! This is the second time in a year there have been layoffs , so I am extremely grateful he still has his job!!!!

I just realized I posted this on Fridays post and it's actually Saturday morning when I'm posting this, so perhaps I'll copy it and paste it if there is a new thread today ????

  • Quick post so that I don't forget...

today is going well. I'm eating smaller portions, keeping the carbs to a minimum, and I'm avoiding unhealthy snacks and reaching for the healthier choices.

I didn't exercise because I have my face buried in my books and will remain that way all weekend. I have a test every monday so my weekends are nothing but a study binge for 2-3 days. But that's whats keeping me at the top of the class right now and that's very important to me.

I drank lots and lots of water today. I had a couple bites of my kids' breakfast sandwich that they didn't finish, I had a cup of white rice, dry seaweed, and spam for lunch. I had a quick snack of strawberry yogurt and a handful of almonds and for dinner I'm making burritos, but I'm switching my flour tortilla for the whole grain tortilla.

Have a nice weekend everyone! :)

Great job on eating well! And Good luck studying! I use to pace the library or my house every now and again reciting something I was trying to memorize to move a bit and to see if I knew something or not.

Hey everyone! I'm interested to see how this weekly thread thing works out. :-)

In terms of exercise, I did excellent this weekend. I got in two hours yesterday - an hour of walking and an hour of zumba. This morning, I got in a half hour of walking/running. I feel like I'm finally starting to get out vacation mode.

In terms of food and water, I probably could have done better on both accounts. Last night, I think I was feeling a little too over-confident or something because I ate a cookie and had my homemade hot chocolate mix. I have been meaning to try a make a new mix substituting the sugar, but haven't yet so I'm sure I got overloaded yesterday.
Today, I made a cheesy cauliflower spinach and chicken casserole for my lunch this week. I had some for my dinner and it came out delicious. I also have some low carb cheesecake pumpkin muffins. Fingers crossed on how they come out!

I drank three sodas yesterday and have had two today. I will try and make myself only have one tomorrow. Otherwise, got in a decent amount of water today, but I think yesterday I didn't do so well, which explains why I woke up so thirsty.

My schedule goes back to normal this week so I'll be trying to get in work outs in the morning.

Strong - I hope you feel better! Are you a tea drinker? Sometimes that I helps me :-)

Mama - I think it's great that you take your studies so seriously. Not everyone does. I certainly didn't always keep as focused as I should when I was college. I bet you'll ace all your tests! :-) Btw, where you mentioned keeping your carbs low, I found some low carbs tortillas the other day at the store. I can't remember the brand, but they were pretty low net carb wise. If I see them again, I'll try to remember which ones they are.

Seehe - Oh wow. I'm glad your husband didn't get laid off. I hope his job continues to stay secure!

Bookfoxx - Glad you did well on exercise! What type did you do? I find weekend workouts harder to get done, but weekends can just be hard to be healthy too.

I am a tea drinker. When I have a sore throat like this , or cough, I drink Hot water with honey, lemon, and maybe ginger depending how I feel. I drink this religiously so its probably a mental remedy at this point, but I truly believe it helps lol.

Water this weekend was awesome due to the above.

Exercise... Well I walked around every couple hours or so but pretty much nothing at all...

Food wasn't healthy but I'm sure I was under 1000 calories Friday, under calories again Saturday, and today I was way over and ridiculously high on sodium....

I set a goal to weigh in Thursdays this month as I'm shooting to lose 5lbs and I'm hoping I'm not back tracking myself. Nothing is easy - but it never is so, gotta learn to just keep truckin'.

I did really well this weekend, and tried a couple of new recipes. I did all my exercise and drank plenty of water.

    Hello,
My name is Liz and I'm new.
I had been doing great but a few changes to my schedule threw everything out of whack.
I've been eating pretty healthy during the week but I end up calorie bombing myself on the weekends..
