Hello, I'm new to mfp and having fun reading through some of the posts. LOTS of inspirational stories.
I started out at 152.3 kg (336 lbs) in July and so far I'm down 13 kg (28 lbs) so a loooong way to go yet. Happy with rate of progress so far, averaging about 1kg a week using ketogenic macros. Anyone else doing that in this group?

I'm on a 20 carbs a day lifestyle. No specific type of diet in particular. I choose to not eat pastas, potatoes, sugar, breads or grains, sodas, or caffeine. I'm gathering and experimenting with many different recipes to fit my needs and I'm having lots of fun with it. Good luck with your new lifestyle!! we can share recipes or lean on each other for support0

I do Paleo and there are some great Paleo boards that might be helpful to your low carb lifestyle. My favorite is Paleo/Primal support group.0

I've been on a ketogenic diet for about three weeks now. I started off trying for 20g of carbs per day, but felt I wasn't eating enough vegetables to make that feasible long-term. Therefore, I increased this to 30g, and this has proved to be a much better "fit" and doesn't seem to have decreased my urinary ketone levels either.
