Fat loss by laser or freezing to go along with sleeve??

I was sleeved on 9/18/14. I am wondering if anyone has tried that laser fat reduction or Coolsculpting to go along with their sleeve or other weight loss procedure? I have been researching it for a while now and it looks like it would assist with things because it actually eliminates fat cells (versus just reducing them in size).

I have to be honest. I've never heard of that procedure, but just based on your post I'm thinking the procedure is a scam. Here's why, if it were legit, why wouldn't everyone be doing it? Why diet or have surgery at all? You can just go get your fat cells zapped away and then they're gone? Sounds too good to be true.

I really feel that those of us that have had WLS really need to get rid of the old "diet" mindset that we had prior to surgery. Things that we might have tried before or things that a "normal" person would try just won't work for us. Most of us have tried every diet, every gimmick, and this does sound like a scam. You were sleeved less than a month ago and you would consider something like this? I am sure you went through a lot before you could have your surgery, and I am sure you learned a lot, yet you would buy into THIS? Sorry, but I don't get it. Stick to the plan your surgeon and his team laid out for you and you will be successful.

Thanks for the insight --- I was just wondering about it because it seems to be in the news and magazines lately. I am happy with my progress with the sleeve and just "graduated" to some soft foods like eggs and fish. Woo hoo!!

The only additional anything I would consider is having the excess skin removed. Not everyone has the excess skin issue, but I do and a lot of it. And I agree with others here that having the fat "zapped away" sounds like a scam and the kind of thing we all tried or thought about doing before we got realisric and serious and had WLS.

These sound like scams. We are already losing so quickly... I just don't see the need to put out extra money for something like this.

These procedures are real, but they are an alternative for lipo suction. They arent intended to be used for large weight loss.

I saw something like this advertised in my endocrinologist's office last year. Zeno something. It was a laser lipo thing. Sounded like a scam, but what do I know?

Garber is right - relax and stick to the play and you will SHED fat at a high rate. I do reccomed getting into a training program so that you shed fat while maintaining muscle. This will help raise your metabolism and produce a nice physical shape.
