BookFox great job on only one soda. Odd question is there a particular type you like or dislike?

Today I'm going to end up over eating. I snacked on a lot of chips and salsa.

Breakfast was 1 toast no butter with sunny side up egg on top.

Lunch was flank steak and horseradish sauce, chips salsa

Snack fiber bar and more chips and salsa

Dinner chicken broccoli mushroom with a asian spy sauce-like sause and rice noodles.

Water only at 50oz now... Need more!

Exercise- walked 30mins and did a legs workout.

Good evening everyone... I made it for another day. I just turned in my paper so I have a little rest till Monday.

I was doing well, had a power fuel shake on the way to work, breakfast was a muffin an a yogurt, lunch was chicken noodle soup and broccoli, i had a v8 for a snack and a shake. Dinner was where I overate: I went out and got fajita meat with lots of veggies, black beans and rice sounds good right? Then I proceeded to go make myself a bloody mary which turned in to two... and now I feel FULL! I haven't even logged since before dinner. Well.... I guess I'm being accountable right here!!! I'm getting back to water...

Lisabear: I'm taking classes towards a MHA (masters in health admin)

Anyhow... I need to go to sleep. No exercise for me tonight... good night all!!!
  • Wednesdays check in: for breakfast I had a strawberry yogurt, for lunch I had a grilled chicken and veggie bowl and for dinner I had 2 slices of pizza.

I didn't exercise today, I'm giving myself a rest day and I'll be back at the gym tomorrow. I have a lot of studying to do so my focus is all on that today.

Happy 8th Birthday to my son, Elijah!

It's crazy that he's already eight-years-old. Time sure does fly. Man, oh man. I'm super emotional today - sad, happy, excited, proud, sentimental...he's getting big. Kids tend to do that, I know. And he sweats and is smelly like a nasty teenager already - ewww. LoL. Getting ready for the grand Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party on Saturday - we will be having pizza!

I got up earlier than early today, but I haven't had any focus on my meal planning for today nor have I had any focus on exercising this morning. I'll use today as my rest day, but if it counts, my mind is running like crazy!

My mom, who absolutely adores my son and does every little thing under the sun for him, wants to take him out for his birthday dinner, so tonight we are going to Applebee's (yep, that's what he picked!) so I'm going to look at their menu before we go - I know they have some meals on there that aren't too terrible high in calories.

Work yesterday....well...it was stupid. Was in meetings all day - didn't do any patient interaction. Not having a nurse visit for the whole day was pretty awesome, but today gotta get back into the swing of things.

Breakfast - probably oatmeal and oranges again (I'm the only one that is eating these clementines and I don't want them to go bad).

Lunch - probably a tuna sandwich - gotta pull something outta my a** to put a lunch together today.

Dinner - Applebee's! mmmm and Elijah is sooooo excited.

Water - my water buddy hasn't really been liking me lately because by the time I get to work, I've already downed 32-48oz of water. Usually I wait until I get to work to start, but I can feel a difference in my body and energy if I get water intake started sooner. And I've been meeting my goal of 64oz; just need to remember to track it. Consider it done!

Sorry, this is probably more like a blog post than it is a check in. Just have a lot going on!

P.S. BookFox I'm drinking a diet dr pepper this AM for the both of us lol cheers!
Kashaas That's so awesome! Congratulations on your schooling! Hope you got your paper done, and aced!

    Happy Thursday, everyone

Soda: One (so far). Cravings are hitting hard but I want to make it to tomorrow so fingers crossed!

Strong - I am a huge Diet Pepsi lover. :-p I also like cherry coke but I don't drink it as often. That typically is a once every couple of months type thing (and then almost always during my period)

Mamamageno - Getting in rest days are very important so good job! Sometimes I notice that I have been working out for some many days in a row and then I have a rest day, I drop a bunch of weight. Not sure if this is your experience or not.

Lisabear - Happy Birthday to your son! :-)
  • Thursday Checkin:

Food: Yogurt and raw almonds for breakfast. Subway flatbread sandwich for lunch (ham, egg, cheese, cucumbers, spinach, onions, & bellpeppers, no dressing or condiments) but I was bad and had a bag of jalapeno chips with it lol. For dinner, I don't know yet. Something with ground beef or flank steak cuz thats what I have in the freezer.

Exercise: I was at the gym for about an hour, walking/running for 40 minutes then I worked the weight machines (legs & arms).

Water: I could have done better, I forgot my water bottle at home again. I'm going to have to down a LOT of water for the rest of the day to catch up.

bookfoxx I never noticed that, but thats good to know! :) and can I eat at your house?? YUM! Your meals sound delicious!

    lisabear Happy Birthday Elijah!!

Lisa Happy Birthday to your son.

Mamamageno: Great job at the gym. On water - I do the same thing, fill it and then leave it on the counter at home (ugh).

My thursday, if I'm being REALLY honest... Not the greatest. Calories I was nearly within, but nutrition was not great at all.

Breakfast - 2 Quesadillas with 1/4 cup cheese and sour cream
Lunch - 2 corn dogs and a glass of milk
Dinner - 5oz salmon (grilled) and 1cup of long grain wild rice and 5oz of red wine.

Water only 50oz. I need to get closer to 8cups or more. New recommendations are 10 cups (80oz) and I'm rarely there these days.

Exercises - 30 minutes using Tony Horton's 10 minute workouts. Did legs, abs, and total body.

Yesterday - gosh! Didn't go as well as I had planned. I procrastinated getting ready yesterday that I didn't have time to eat my breakfast at home, so I was going to just eat it at work, but guess what? I forgot my breakfast! So I was "starving" by the time lunch hit. I ate my sandwich and my little mini toasts with cheese - was just the right amount! But then I was so darn busy with patients that I didn't get to eat my snacks and before I knew it, it was already 5pm. I did stop and eat a granola bar finally. We went to Applebee's...and I didn't make the greatest choices there. I wanted to stick with my original selection of Roma peppered steak (only 530 calories) buuuuuuuut instead, I ate half of a quesadilla burger, hardly any fries, and some spinach & artichoke dip with tortilla chips. UUGGHH! Could I have messed up any more?!

Luckily, today is a new day. Got up early again, did some chores. I still need to bust out ab carver: 3 sets of 10 forward, 3 sets of 5 to the left and right; crunches 35; push-ups 13. I promise myself I will get it done this morning. I've been doing chores today already. My son's birthday party is tomorrow - I feel like I don't have enough time in the day to get anything done! Not because of the party, but in general.

    Food -
Breakfast: I need to eat my oatmeal and clementines this morning.
    Lunch: Ummmmm?????
    Dinner: Ummmmmm??

Water: They haven't replaced the water jugs at work, and been having to use the water from the refrigerator - yes, I know excuses excuses but this tastes so bad and it's not cold at all so my water intake yesterday was pretty slim. I may have to stop at the store to get water for the day.

Happy Friday! I know I'm going to need a drink by the end of the day..

    Friday:

Food - i ate mandu for breakfast AND lunch, trying to eat up leftovers. Grapes for snack. I'm making chicken taquitos for dinner with fresh guacamole.

Exercise - I walked to the grocery store and the real workout was walking back with all my groceries. I seriously underestimated the weight of the items on my shopping list lol. I ran out of time for the gym before my kids got home, so I used my dumbbells for my arms and 20 minutes on my elliptical.

Water - I drank water all day. One of the benefits of being home, easy access to ice water

I'm thankful for the little fan on my elliptical ;) without it I might never use that evil machine lol.

Today has been a great day. I exercised earlier, just came back from a walk. A little breezy, but I always feel better when I get home. I will cross country ski (on my machine) later this evening. I haven't been drinking enough water today though. Will have to work on that.
For breakfast I had a spinach and banana smoothie
Lunch I had beans and a pizza bun (yummy but high in calories oh well)
Then I had some chocolate cake and because that was so good I decided to have chips and a pop as well.
Not too many calories for dinner, but oh well they were good.
Talking about alcohol a glass of wine would be nice :D
Oh well I don't think that will be in the cards for tonight
  • Saturday:

I made pancakes and bacon for the family for breakfast, then spent 3-4 hours at Boomers with my husband and kids, and then we had lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant. I didn't keep track of my calories because I didn't know how to calculate homemade pancakes or the food at the restaurant. I'll go ahead and count today as a lost day since I'm sure I went way over my calorie limit, but it was totally worth it. I had a BLAST with my husband and my kids riding go karts, getting soaked on the bumper boats, screaming on scary rides, playing miniature golf, and laser tag! I don't know how much exercise I got, but we were running around allllllll day so I'm going to give myself a little credit for that lol.

Great day today!! Maybe not health-wise so much, but definitely a happy day and happiness is good for the soul so that's a win! I love my family! :)

    Saturday's Check In
Breakfast - 1 egg, 1 piece of bacon

Lunch - Rice noodles, chicken, brocooli, onion, and mushroom and Yogurt

Junk - Twix candy bar (full size)

Dinner - Potato Ham homemade bake/soup/casserole thing, and glass of milk.

Exercise - Work = stairs again. Who built this Plant 9 floors without an elevator!!!

Water - 70!!! I can tell that I'm still not getting enough.

Honestly, looking at the app nutrition table, I need to work on what I'm eating. In the last 2 weeks I've only gotten 20% of my Iron requirements and 40% of my calcium requirements. Vitamin C is one of the few I an hit without a problem. Gotta go back to the multivitamin and start adding leafy greens (not my favorite...)

Hope everyone's having a good Sunday!

Have you hit your week goal or accomplished your plan?
