Hi, I'm Katherine! I lurk a lot, but I'm a first-time poster in this group. I've been pretty strict about being grain-free for almost two months now, when I've indulged it's only been a slice of bread when out to dinner or a small serving of dessert, other than that I have been really "good". I'm slowly transitioning to paleo, this month I'm working on dairy-free, next month legumes, etc. Today I had a moment of weakness and had the equivalent of 2 donuts. If we're MFP friends, you know the love/hate relationship I have with donuts.
Now I feel kind of drunk, like I don't have full control over my body and my brain is slow. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this from the wheat? The sugar?

My guess would be the sugar.0

High sugar does that to me too, but I don't ever eat anything with wheat so that one unbreakable rules helps with everything else.0

YES. Congratulations, you have normal human insulin behavior for handling sugar. Go take a nap.0
