Aloha, and welcome to the holiday season! With all the upcoming parties and festivities around the corner, it's time to make a plan on how you are going to stay healthy and fit through all the chaos! I am personally making strides toward eating more fruits and veggies when I attend these events, and I am going to make exercise a requirement before the parties as well o:) Good luck to you all!


As always, credit for the verbiage below goes to Dan ;)

If you are new and want to join in, by all means do! We love to celebrate those losses with you! This is the standard format we try to use for these threads:

Name: (if you'd like to share)

My Numbers:
SW: Starting weight before you lost anything.
CW: Current weight at the beginning of the challenge.
GW: Goal weight for the month (what you would like to weigh at the end of the monthly challenge) Try to keep it realistic and SAFE!
LTGW: Life time goal weight ( What you would like to weigh at the end of your weight loss journey)

Weigh ins: What days you will weigh in. (I will weigh in on Fridays in November)
11/7/14= (Fill out after each weigh in.)
11/14/14=
11/21/14=
11/28/14=
11/30/14= (Final weigh in for the month.)

The simplest way to do this is to find your previous weeks post, copy the text then click the reply button. Paste the text in and add your new weight.

Also, if you are quoting someone to send them a kudo or offer a hand up, please add @theirusername to the top of the text so we can keep who's who straight (very helpful when we get over 100 posts per month smile

    As you can see I have gone a good bit backwards. I don't think it is legitimate weight gain given how short of a period it occurred. Still, I am only aiming for ten pounds down by the end of the month. I feel bad as I won't reach my 100 lb mark by the time I see my shrink later this month (the 19th).

    I am SO down for having a no-nonsense November! This week I started a 5:2 ish type schedule. I told myself I'd give it a shot for 4 weeks and see how it goes and the first week went super smooth. Thanksgiving doesn't even scare me! BRING IT ON!

    After a good first year OP, I've gotten VERY lazy lately with the first 3 months of the school year and need to get back in the groove. My goal for November is getting to the gym at least 3 days a week for my real workouts, with walks or some type of movement all the other days, as well as hitting my macros. We'll see how it goes! :)

    Weighing of Saturdays. Fighting those last few pounds. Some loss/gain bounces as I near goal. Really looking forward to being in the 140'. :wink:

    This thread adds legitimacy to what would otherwise be abstract numbers on a scale. Like the tree that falls in the forest...would the numbers be real if nobody else knew about them? So you make it real, friends. thanks. :smile:

    In the spirit of losing weight I've been ditching that of which that does not support me or help me. Only that of which serves me shall stay in my life. In about seven weeks the official New Year will come to pass, and I hope by then I'll have gotten completely back on track.
