Dies anyone drink from a straw? I was reading on thinnertimes.com that some people do when they cannot get enough fluids in...

Yes I use straws-- but not everyone can. Check with your dr.

I use a straw. I wouldn't be able to get my water in otherwise. I have no idea why but drinking without a straw is very painful for me.

I watched a video from a dr on Thinnertimes and he said a straw is fine as long as we do not try to get too much in at once. I found that I was gulping without the straw.

I was told that you can swallow more air that way, but, immediately post-op, I felt that the straw helped to prevent me from swallowing air. Now I don't have to worry about that anymore.

I was told that too--but I am finding I can get my fluids in better with the straw...

My doctor said no staws, it causes more air in the tummy. I'm the opposite and get much less air with the straw. For those of you who are saying you get more fluid in with one, it's probably the same for you.
