    Good morning

    More grey weather, but its not raining nor blowing, so I'll not complain too much. Some parts of NB had a lot of snow over the weekend, I am SO hoping for a better winter than last year. I wouldn't mind quite so much if my kids weren't going to be driving in it. When they were little I use to wish for and love snow.

    Got 6K run in yesterday and ended up with the best pace I've had in a long time. Just felt good. I think I will run again today, but I probably should do some strength as well. I've had a good couple of days with my food, hopefully I can keep it up.

    Donna - we have a bad area of road here, I was running one day and tripped over a large piece of pavement that was loose on the side of the road. There are potholes and it is really bad in this one area. I didn't end up getting really hurt, just a sore ankle for a bit.

    Val - good job staying within your cals, that would certainly be tough!

    Laura - good job on the swim. I am feeling the same as you...each day is getting a bit easier. I have had a good week so far, and hope to keep it going through the weekend.

    April - that is fabulous news!! You should be proud, your hard work is definitely paying off!

    Sherry - sounds like you got some good walking in even though it was inservice day!

    Marla - I really need to work in the yard, I don't have much to do but I keep putting it off. You've inspired me to get out there. Just have a few weeds to pull and then I want to put some more mulch down. I'd like to get some crocus' in and maybe some tulips, but I need to buy some first. lol Enjoy your dinner!!

    Good morning everyone!

    whiskey dinner turned out great, I just had a little of each course, too much food, and sipped the whiskey's. I ended the evening just right...my poor husband who finished mine ended up drunk, I don't think I have ever seen him like that, he passed out on chair when we got home.

    Another rainy day here and I think I will do another dance class before we take off for errands and going to see new movie about space.

    Maureli I wonder if we are going to have more snow this year because we are getting more rain and as soon as it gets colder it will turn...one daughter lives in Colorado and has had a few snow driving experiences. Not bad but I know it's nice not to worry about my other daughter in CA!

    Congrats April! That is an incredible accomplishment!

    It sounds like everyone is pulling themselves out of the funk and making better choices. Yay!

    I had a good food day yesterday. I saved enough calories for the end of the day to partake in the dessert at our bible study. It helps that the kids have eaten their candy down and only have a few pieces left. Oh, and those pieces are the types of candy I don't like. :)

    I had gained a few pounds, and updated it on my profile. Then promptly have dropped them again. So that felt good too!

    I'm hoping for another good day! I am trying to get snacks that are healthier so that in between meals, during those times I get hungry, I'm not turning to my hubby's snacks. I bought some Greek yogurt with granola, cheese sticks, and some fruit to start with.

    I ended up sleeping 10 hours last night. Fell asleep on the couch before 9:00, woke up long enough to crawl into bed, and fell right back to sleep. My alarm went off early to ride my bike this morning but I still had the headache I had been fighting most of yesterday so I reset my alarm and went back to sleep. I'll warm up on the spin bike at the gym before my trainer session tonight and then will run after so I'm not feeling bad about getting the extra sleep this morning.

    Hi everyone.

    Congratulations April!
    And Marla and April! Sounds like everyone's getting it together again! Great idea about the snacks.

    I did fine yesterday, too despite the large breakfast. I just wasn't much hungry for dinner and just needed a snack before bed. Hope to repeat it again today as I've already eaten a lot for the day. Like yesterday I have a very busy evening, so it should work out. At least I hope so.

    I'm planning to go to the body conditioning class tonight and then Fells has flyball class.

    Sounds like you really needed the rest day Laura, and you rested. I'm sure that you'll be ready to charge back in this evening.

    Hope everyone else is doing well!

    Today I did chest and triceps. Got in a fair amount of steps taking the kids to all the after school stuff. Having a rough week wrt sleep and it's making me tired and emotional. Hopefully it'll work out. It seems I can't sleep without a big, full belly, which my lower calorie goal is not providing. I might have to go over goal one day, just to be able to fall asleep one good night this week. :(
