Hi all! Today's threadstarter is in honor of my daughter who turns 4 today, and who loves to roll out the "yogurt mat" and "ex'cise". She does jumping jacks, supermans, squats, perfect push-ups, she loves to run, and stretches her calves on the curb just like Mommy. o:)

It'll be a rest day for me.

    TGIF!

Love it. My kids now love to do all the fun runs so they can race like mommy. My oldest is starting to try and ride her bike so she can do a triathlon, and she joined the running club at her elementary school. It makes me happy to see them growing up more active than I was.

Laura - glad you got the extra sleep! Our bodies need that rest sometimes.

So far, upping my calories has helped. I am no longer feeling tempted to binge on food because I'm so hungry, so in general my eating habit are improving. Yesterday my youngest managed to stomp on my foot and bend my injured toe back...so now it hurts again. I've resigned myself to the fact that the next time I will actually run will be after I recover from my hysterectomy. I do stare wistfully at my road bike every time I pull out of the garage.

Running a bunch of errands and such this morning. But fulling intend on a quiet evening at home tonight. Cooking dinner and such and then relaxing with my kiddos.

    Have a great day everyone!

Happy birthday to your daughter! I love the yogurt mat!

Glad the new calorie targets are working for you Valma. I really do believe that if you're going to work out you have to eat enough to fuel those workouts. That is so sad about your toe - amazing how if something is going to happen to you it will 100% happen to the one injured place on your body.

Last night I ran 2 miles on the treadmill, had a challenging legs/core workout with my trainer, then did 10 minutes on Jacobs Ladder, increasing speed every 2 minutes. Nothing gets my heart rate up faster than JL, so at the end of the 10 minutes I was sitting on the floor in front of the machine with the safety belt still on trying to catch my breath. Holy crap that was hard. Got home, ate dinner, unpacked my gym bag, repacked 2 gym bags (one for the gym which included stuff to shower there & head straight to work and one for the pool after work), and went to bed. Slept horribly -- so much for my great night's sleep the night before. Had to get to the gym a little earlier this morning because my trainer wanted me to get in some shoulder band exercises in addition to the usual cardio as a warm-up. And then we had a tough upper body workout.

It was a great week for strength training. I'm working toward being able to squat my body weight, and I'm getting closer. Last week I managed 3 reps of 115 pounds, and last night I did 6 reps of 115 pounds plus 4 reps of 125 pounds. My legs are already sore so my run tomorrow should be interesting.

    Have a great Friday everyone!

Thank you all for the nice words about my good bloodwork. I can’t wait to take that info to my doc.

Great threadstarter! My tot always wants to come to “exercise class” when I go to Pilates.

Maura, hope that you had a good run yesterday.

    Happy birthday, mini-Sherry!

DterMined, you certainly jumped back in with both feet and your weight loss is very impressive (*)

Valma, absolutely you needed those cals. I will say that I’m a high-volume eater. I’d rather have popcorn than almonds. Sounds like a nice Friday night to me. :)

Laura, I think your trainer really is trying to kill you! I think you work out more in a week than I do in a month. No wonder you needed your zzzs!

Yesterday was one of those days when I sat down at my desk and looked up to find hours had gone by. I didn’t get my steps in. But I made up for it this morning with a SUPER INTENSE workout with my trainer! I did 30mins on the elliptical followed by an hour of upper body and abs.

Last night/this am my hubs came upstairs at 2:30am and woke me up. My alarm was set for 4:15 and I was so annoyed I couldn’t go back to sleep. I *may* have woke him up at 3 to communicate my displeasure. Suffice it to say I am sofa king tired today—I can’t stop yawning.

Eating this week was not perfect but MUCH better than last week. Also last week our WW leader brought up the idea of a splurge meal once per week. I decided that mine would be on Friday night so I’ve been looking forward to it over the week. And I think it’s kept me from having a little something here and there. Challenge will be not gorging so I’m going to have veggies/salad FIRST. So I’m exhausted but at least it’s pizza night <3

Happy Friday everyone! Here’s to a healthy weekend!

Hi all, I woke up to bright sun everywhere, such a beautiful fall day! Husband wants me to help him again on our project of spreading bark in some places. We had a huge pile delivered a few days ago and only got a bit laid before rain.

I want to do a short hike somewhere not sure where but I will say tomorrow! lol

Hope your daughter has a fun bday Sherri...sounds cute how she follows your example!
