    Good morning all

Sherry - so cute, you little girl and her exercises. So important to teach them early. My son has been running lately (my oldest) but the youngest has yet to take it up. Happy Birthday to her!

val - glad that you are getting the calorie thing figured out for what suits your body. We are all different and sometimes its hard to figure it all out. Good for you. Hope that toe is better! Hope you had a nice quiet evening.

Laura - sounds like a great workout for you yesterday! Jacobs Ladder sounds like a good calorie burner, I would love to try one. The strength training sounds like its coming along as well, I would like to try heavy weights like that.

april - sounds like you made up for missing your steps yesterday, great workout! Enjoy your splurge meal, what did you have? I had one last night!

Marla - lucky you to have the sun! I am hoping to maybe get the rest of my mulch spread today, its not suppose to rain, but its nippy out there! But, I know it will never get done if I don't do it today.

Went to dinner last night for my in-laws 50th anniversary. Had a delicious seafood meal, but not appetizer and no dessert. So, I was full but not gorged. Also did a Jillian Michaels workout yesterday and added on some of my own strength work after and I am feeling it today, feels good though. Hope to get a run in this morning.

Happy Saturday everyone! Got to sleep in this morning, which was nice. The kids and I sat around watching movies yesterday afternoon and it was a lot of fun. I also did well eating again so I'm very pleased. I wanted to eat some snacks close to bedtime, but I reaisted and just went to bed. I also cleaned out both our bathrooms so I even felt a bit productive!

Today I just have a few things on the schedule. I need to get some shopping done at Costco, and tonight our church is playing UP in the park by my house, We're giving out balloons and it should be a fun time with friends. I'm looking forward to it!

    Goal today:
Drink lots of water! Water is my friend!
Keep sticking to healthy snacks! I'm soooooo thankful that the Halloween candy is now gone. Makes it so much easier to make the better choice. :)
Take the kids for a nice little walk.

Oh no! That poster is directed at my epic fail this weekend!

I did SO good all week at my lower calorie goal. I was nailing it everyday. Then yesterday happened! Sooooo, I had been busy all day with birthday girl and hadn't eaten and was saving the calories for dinner and for cake anyway. THEN, DH had to go to the other side of town after work, so instead of bringing home lil girl's requested birthday dinner (McDonald's cheeseburgers... do-able even on a diet), he gets the next best thing he could find: KFC. UGH! Omg, it's so many calories! And I was at the mercy of what he bought, which was some of the highest cal stuff! Anyway, shortly after, I learned that my inlaws had invited themselves over to see birthday girl and were buzzing the front gate (nevermind that we'd planned to see them Sunday). Hello stress chocolate bar (okay, this was my fault--just shoulda sucked it up and dealt with it). Anyway, this was all BEFORE the cake. After cake & presents & skyping USA, etc and finally after the kids went to bed (late), DH tears into the fruit tortes that inlaws had brought and of course by then I was hungry again, since it'd been hours since I'd eaten. ugh. THEN, he reminds me that he had arranged for us to go have lunch at his cousins Saturday! So, today, after another night of only a few hours sleep, we went to his cousins for a barbecue and wine....and wine.....and wine. Oh, and had no time to workout, so.....all that to say, "wahhhhhh!!! I blew it!", but I feel a bit like a victim of circumstances, because I'm actually very eager to have things be normal so I can at least have the *chance* to make healthy choices. Oh, but did I mention that after spending all day at cousin's, we came home to any empty cupboard and DH had to run out into a thunderstorm to grab dinner--something tells me it won't be "light".

BUT, I did good all week long, so if I could do it then, I can do it again. Time to dust myself off.

(Also, coming back from cousins, we drove past the stadium where they were setting up for the Athens Marathon tomorrow. Although I'm not particularly drawn to racing, I am feeling more and more drawn to try the Athens Marathon someday--since it was the original. All the more motivation to heal my feet, lose some pounds and get running again.)

sorry I wrote a book, had to clear the skeletons from the closet ;-)

I had a great hike in the sun yesterday up top of hills behind me. So beautiful out. Today its mostly cloudy with some sun so going to do a mini hike not as high as yesterday. They are predicting it to snow this Thursday day i am driving over pass to go to Seattle! That will be interesting if it happens! having hubby put snow tires on this week.

Catching up with housework before I go back to work tomorrow.

    Hello hello and happy Saturday!

Last I night I made steamed broccoli and ordered pizza. It was delish! We waited too long to eat so I had more than I had planned plus it was super good. I froze the leftovers in individual bags for my kid's lunch.

Yesterday's trainer workout was brutal? I fell asleep on my heating pad @ 8:16. Frankly I'm surprised I stayed up that late!

Pilates this am felt great---stretching where I was already sore.

Hubs went to the market today & tomorrow I'll prep for a healthy week.
