Sherry - I'm glad that quote I found was what you needed, I needed it too! Hope your little one feels better so you can get back into a normal routine.
Woke up feeling worse. I'm supposed to volunteer in school all day, but I don't think that is happening. I'm going to stay home and rest, so that hopefully I'll be well enough to make it to the PTO meeting this afternoon.
At least I still made good food choices yesterday and got a bunch of walking in! Today will be a lot less physical activity, but hoping I can kick this cold soon. I have about a week and a half until surgery so I want to be healthy. I also want to have all Christmas presents in order as well! I know I need to rest, but I have this manic drive right now to keep working and working and working to get everything in order before I'm out of commission. So I can't seem to sit still long enough to get better.
Goals:
drink water! lots and lots of water!
rest!0 -

marla, enjoy Nia
Laura, that sounds like he was feeling sadistic! But how good that sort of workout is for you. I actually wouldn't mind a trainer kicking my butt like that now and then.
val, hope you get well before your surgery. I was once so busy preparing for my parents to visit that I got rundown and got sick the day before they arrived...then 2 days later, my daughter decided to be born 3 weeks early. I ended up with a sedated c-section and her first night I was stuck in the ICU on oxygen b/c of the sinus/bronchial thing. It stunk! So, I guess I'm saying, slow down and get well!
Dter, so glad you finally might be getting some relief. I hope you heal fast and well!
Today DH had to work much later than expected. I had to take lil girl (still sick) to pick up son and drop off at tutor. I then took her for a walk to do some errands. First stop, bodybuilding store to buy 1/2kg pink dumbbells--for lil girl, who tries to workout with me, but the 2kg db's I have are too heavy so she uses pencils or markers just to do the movements & I thought why not get her some real dbs (actually been wanting to do this since she was tiny and would workout with me, but i knew .5kg was too heavy then, but now should be okay). Second stop, bookstore for a book for son. Third stop, hand lil girl and shopping bags to DH. Fourth stop, gym...to pay for another year. I decided to rejoin! Then back to get son. All that was walking & I racked up plenty of steps today, finally. I was dressed for a gym workout, but DH worked too late and I ran out of time before son's pickup. Also, all the walking made my ankles very sore , so no ankle exercises either, but stretched. I'm starting to have fleeting thoughts of "will I ever run again?", which depresses me like you cannot imagine. I'm beginning to think my Christmas present will be an appt with a sports doc.0 -
A quick hello. Got up this am & hit the bike, over 10k steps today. The last couple of days I've been having my morning snack first, my breakfast second, then my afternoon snack, then my lunch later in the afternoon. It helps me not come home freaking starving. Doing okay. Seriously considered getting junk food tonight but had frozen meal instead.
Happy healing, Dtermined. You & Valma take it very easy so your body can do the hard work.0
