I'll be honest, not a big fan of the pic. But I loved the quote, so I still used it.
Ended up running around a bunch yesterday. I collapsed into bed last night before I even ate dinner because I was so exhausted. But I did get a decent nights rest. I still am all stuffy and gross feeling in my head, but at least this morning I don't feel feverish on top of that.
Still dropping my weight back down through just my eating habits! I'm now only 2.5 pounds away from Onederland! I'm very excited about this as I had been worried about gaining weight after my surgery. But now I know I can still at least maintain during my recovery because my eating is in better control. I did have a moment of weakness yesterday at the PTO meeting and had several Rice Krispie treats. But one moment of weakness in the entire week is good for me!
Today is my last day watching my friends kid. He's very sweet and easy as far as 16 months go. But I forgot what extra work they were! It threw our routine off which increased my stress. Glad I hVe next week with my just family before my surgery. I have childcare this morning and volunteering at school this afternoon. But one of the other ladies from the PTO might cover me so then I could ha the afternoon off.
Determined - what was the neck surgery for? I hope your recovery is swift!
Sherry - well done on getting your steps in! I love the idea of getting your little one dumbells of her own. She'll feel so grown up and start developing great habits early on!
Have a great day everyone, and happy Friday!0 -
Val glad you are feeling better! Head colds and fevers can get ya down!! Congrats on being ONLY 2.5lbs from onederland that is awesome....YOU GOT THIS GIRL!!!! as for my surgery I had 2 discectomies and a titanium plate placed in my c-spine. I'm sore and my neck is stiff but I don't have any pain!!! I was hurting so bad I couldn't stand it! So I thank God I am pain-free!! I just really got to watch my eating while sitting around recouping. Exercise is limited for the next few days and we all know that the munchies creep in while sitting around doing nothing so I REALLY gotta watch!
I'm sure I'll be posting more than usual since I'm laid up at home, so if I become obnoxious I apologize
HAPPY FRIDAY ALL!!!

Hi all! I was happy to see that Groups is back on the main Community page, and you can see the most recent thread, just like the old way.
As for me, another lost day this week. Lil girl has an awful cough now and luckily DH got off work in time to pick up son, b/c I didn't want to take lil girl out. It's rainy season now and it came a major storm all night last night and everything is damp and yucky and gloomy (not good for a lil girl with a cold). I was sad to read that a footballer was killed by lightening in the storm last night & several others hurt. So sad.
Anyway, no real steps today and still haven't gotten to my weights yet--will do them tonight, if not right now.
This has not been a great week for me for food or activity. Too many of these and I'll never get anywhere, so I've got to doubledown right away--not easy in the rainy season, but i've got to figure it out.
TGIF, have a great weekend!0 -
It's not that it was a bad idea to get my daughter the dumbbells....but let's just say that SHE got her workout today, but I didn't. Well, I got one set of each exercise before I was squeezed out of the way by her. Good thing I rejoined the gym!0
