Does anyone follow both the Paleo diet and the 5:2? I just started the 5:2 about two weeks ago and like it and have now been asked by one of my medical people to also stick strictly to a paleo diet for the next 21 days (and hopefully longer if it helps me). Just wondering if anyone here does this and might have some suggestions they can throw my way about what works for them.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hey - I eat "primal" style (paleo+dairy) and it's pretty cool.

Lemme see: Nuts have a surprising amount of calories. Eat lots of fat (I'm at a 50% ratio, that's pretty common). Don't get too wrapped up in minutia, like you'll see on web discussions. Fundamentally, diets differ in their macro ratios so stay focused on that. Paleo is about low-carbs and down on grains, so that's the main thing.
Have you read Mark Sisson's first book? I liked that a lot.
Anything else, I'll be glad to try and help with.
Good luck!

Ty Feisty! I have not read Sisson's first book (or any really of his) so will put that on my book list.0

I'd say, they would go together pretty well. I don't do paleo, but my fast days are pretty paleo style anyway. Fresh, homecooked, protein sources and lots of veggies. I also lowered my grain carbs on most non fast days, because my digestion doesn't like them as much as I do ;-) 'Instant' gas and water retention.....
Try it out and see what it does for you. Don't know your reason for turning to paleo, but I see no problem in combining the two. Just try not to overrestrict on your eating days.0
