newbie needs help

hello I'm an emotional eater almost all my life. Since I stopped most of my pain medicine I get real emotional since I'm in severe pain and treat it with food. I started rationalizing that maybe it's just the holiday season but I really don't beleive so. I'm using ice packs motrin and tumuric n curry powder for my arthrtic knees untill I get replacments. ive gained back some of the 58lbs that i lost last year so I'm worried. Anyone with help. thanks

    Look at your food choices as well for causes of pain. There are some that can cause inflammation that make pain worse. One thing that was suggested to me, and worked, was setting out a set amount of food that I want and putting the rest away. Once I eat that, I'm done. So, for my pretzel sticks I count out 41 sticks (1 serving) and put the rest away. You can try mints to give you a boost of taste and appetite suppressant.
  • I've found OA to be very helpful with binge eating!
