What is going to be your month challenge. When I first joined MFP in Jan this year I came across this group and some amazing people, as time went on I fall off and I can't seem to get my stuff together. I was once 304. I don't even know what I am now and I'm scared to even look. so I am going to make this month an amazing month for me. I am going to get back into how I use to be a loved to work out. I loved how I felt. so this month I plan on working out every day for an hour. this next few days won't be as intense because I have a cold but I'm going to take a light walk and I am going to take all my food. and I'm going to be posting a lot because this is going to be hard. but I can over come this set back.

    What a great challenge!

A few years ago, I challenged myself not to eat out for a whole month, and I loved it so much I did it for two! I'd love to challenge myself and do it again this month.

Now that's a really good challenge. I think I'll do that in jan and only reason I say that not and not start it is because we leave for vacation on the 9th so that doesn't help much. But today I walked for an hour and I tracked all my food. Can't say it was all good but I tracked it
  • Skittles I am with you I started MFP a year ago. I lost over 40 pounds. Then I fell off and I gained it back plus 10 pounds all in a year. I have been back on for 2 weeks. One thing I am doing is posting on my page every morning and evening. In the morning I set daily goals and at night I state what goals I hit and the ones I didn't. This is helping me because I am making myself accountable to me. My goals are no huge goals they are small goals because if I feel I am failing then I will say screw it and then before you know it another year has gone by and I am worst off. So, this time I am making small changes. I also know that I have a lot personal issues I need to work on so I use my blog as a journal and write personal stuff. Because for some reason the more I work out and get healthy the past seems to come to the surface and I have to deal with it. I am looking forward to reading about your journey.

My December Challenge is to go to the gym everyday before work.

Michelle I know what your talking about. i was doing amazing and I just fell off, and I don't want it to end like this. as of yesterday I tracked all my food and today so far I am tracking it all. but I didn't get to do any work outs, I may go for a walk later I don't know as of yet. but today I had to talk my self out of going and eating crappy food. I have a heathy choice in my fridge and it's a good one I like so I stuck with it and I'm happy I did and didn't leave to get bad food. now I do have a problem as to what to make for dinner for my husband and my self. any one have any ideas I'm open to it.

    I hope dinner was delicious.

I just realized that on Monday I am taking my boyfriend out to dinner for his birthday, so I'll make that exception. I think I want to do this in again in January as well. I've been doing well with making all of my own meals. A little worried about the next couple days. I will be on my feet all day taking photos at a conference and won't have time to eat. I'll make sure to bring extra snacks and have some food ready when I get home.

I did eat out three times this month (twice for work events and once for a birthday), but I've done well with sticking with what I planned on eating. I think I might move this challenge to next month as well. I love that I'm experimenting even more in the kitchen.

Ten days of home cookin'! Not bad. I'm having serious pho cravings this week. Unfortunately, I don't have any of the ingredients to make it, but I found a nice market not too far from me where I can find ingredients for a great price. Maybe I'll make that as our Christmas dinner.
  • Getting ready to start the third week of the month. My challenge has been to work out before work. I have missed a few days. I don't like to get up early but I like to get the work out in because if something happens where I can't work out at the end of the day. I at least know I have done something for the day. On the days that I didn't work out in the morning I made myself go that night. I am starting to see the scale move in the right direction (not as much as I would like). I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

I'm doing better this week logging. I do better logging in a notebook than I do online for some reason. I spent 24 hours in pajamas reading and listening to music after a tough week teaching. I am off til January 5 although I know I will go in at least once to get some paperwork and organizing done. So I am going to end December focusing on my healthy goals without work stress getting me off track. Michelle, I agree I too do so much better consistently working out if I get it done early in the day; how do you find the motivation to get up and do it before work? Jocoblossoming, 10 days of home cooked meals...nice! speaking of cooking, I should make a pot of coffee and search for some recipes for Christmas dinner with my parents.

Tomorrow is day twenty of my home cookin' challenge. I'm feeling great.

For the past week, I've had ridiculous cravings for sweet and sour pork, so I decided to make it. I won't be eyeballing the sauce recipe in the future, because it was very sour.

Next week, I'm going to get all of the ingredients to make pho. I can't wait to make the broth. I want to sit in the kitchen and just bask in the smell. Such a long process but so worth it.
  • It is the end of December, I feel that my challenge for the month has been a successful one. For most of the part I have been going to the gym before work. Some days I drag my feet or waste time trying to talk myself out of going to the gym and don't get a full hour of a workout in. But I do get there. So, I am making this as part of my normal routine now (even though sleeping in would great).
