This recovery has been long. I've been reading on forums about typical recovery for a hysterectomy. Even though I kept my ovaries, they are freaked out from having so much activity near them. I should fully expect to deal with some menopausal symptoms for several more months. This also includes issues with my memory (not expected at all). Also, 6 months to a year of fatigue as well could be possible. *sigh
But the past few days I've been able to at least keep up with the bare minimum of house work. My weight restriction ends tomorrow...so I can pick up things heavier than a mile jug. No workouts for another two weeks, but I'm hoping to start maintaining an actual routine again. Even if it doesn't include any heavy housework or training.
Also, the man who was like a second father to my husband died suddenly this week, and my grandma was out in the ER. They couldn't find out what was wrong with her so they released her, which doesn't make me worry any less. It's been a rough couple of months for this family of mine!
I missed you all and I hope you are all doing well!0 -
Val, this is a big adjustment, and certainly all the family loss has had an impact. But you did what was right for you for all the monthly problems, and this time will pass and you will be better than ever! Nice to have you posting here again!
Hey everybody else!! Good to have more posters again.
Today I got to the gym early. Ran there VERY slowly, did shoulders, skipped calves in favor of running partway back too. Feeling very optimistic about running now. Also, DH booked tix to Usa. I'll be on my own for ten days. Will have to improvise a lot.0 -
Today I did ABC 1 in Black Fire workouts. It stands for Agility, Balance and Core. It was horrid. 40 x-Squats, 25 Surfer-Get-UPs, 40 Fence Jumps, and 40 Diamond push ups. I thought I left my dead body on the floor. My arms and legs hurt still from Friday's workout. But I feel better now (two hours later).
Keep up the good work everyone.0
