Just a beginner

I'm 5'8, 57kg, 23 years old.
I lost weight the lazy way, by just eating less and now I realize I need exercise to gain strength and to transfer my body from skinny fat to fab!
I've upped my calories and have started to learn to cook so I can eat more nutrients and give my body more fuel.
My main question is, If I attend a 30min Abs / pilates class 3 times a week (will be doing abs twice, pilates once) while also doing 30mins on the gym machine equipment after each class, will this give me a noticeable difference in my strength and body appearance? Upping the weights as I progress.
Is there anything in particular that I need to do?

When you say 'gym machine equipment' do you mean the strength training equipment and not cardio equipment (like a treadmill)? I'm going to assume yes.
The most important thing is to stick with it! It may take a while before you start to see results. If you are a member at a gym, they likely offer an introductory overview on the equipment. Take advantage of that!
Make sure you hit all of your major body parts (bicep, tricep, shoulder, chest, back, legs, core). Without making it too complicated, also remember that each "body part" consists of multiple muscles so you want to have variety. For example, a bicep curl where your palm faces the ceiling works your bicep muscle differently than when you curl with your palms facing each other.
Rest at least one day between strength training workouts. For me, I do my strength training on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and I do my cardio on the 'off days' (e.g. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). I either rest on Sundays or do something light (e.g. walking).
Again, stick with it! When I first started, my strength training days were not something I looked forward to -- on any day. Now, I look forward to them and I even get a little sad if I have to miss a day!0 -
If you go to bodybuilding. Com. It will give you an exercise training for each day to work all parts of your body. One day you will work your legs, another day your bicepts and triceps and so on. I liked it because its something different everyday so it keeps you motivated and not get board with the same thing everyday.0
