"Those who follow a very low-carbohydrate or Paleo diet may want to consider salt supplementation, especially if they are “hitting the wall”."

I spent 15 years low sodium. Difficult habit to break, but apparently I better hurry up on the increasing in sodium in my diet!

It was hard for me to get used to the idea that salt is ok because of everything people had repeatedly told me in the past about how bad it is to use a lot of, but I love salt and now that I'm not eating much over-processed food I add it to a lot of things. Roasted salted almonds, mmm. Salt on my meat and veggies, mmmm. Most people on keto either don't track it at all. I personally have it set in my macros to like 7000 just so I never see red. lol

I never log the extra salt I add to my foods, but its a lot. Fortunately low carbing keeps me from suffering from the water weight!

Read what Dr Champ has to say on it with that link that I posted. He is an oncologist (cancer doc) and says studies are showing we need salt intake and it isn't too much salt that is giving people disease and feeding cancers, it is carbs. (surprise surprise ;-)

Please, please read this, everyone. The supplementation is so important and is spelled out very clearly in here.

I just had water w/Lite Salt (1/4 tsp) for the second time today and took 250mg magnesium. This stuff really matters.

Interesting stuff isn't it? There are many who believe that you can actually starve out cancer cells by depriving them of glucose.

So I have had high blood pressure for YEARS!! I tried all the low salt diets and it never made ONE bit of difference. So I went on with my Sea Salt and carried on, and never have the bad carb flu people get. I don't use regular processed salt or salty foods usually, just sea salt. I think the type can make a difference too because sea salt includes other minerals.
