Feeling good! Took the horse our for a ride yesterday, as in floated elsewhere rode for a while, then floated home. I say this cause its way more exhausting than just riding where I usually do, plus it was 32 (90 fahrenheit) so you sweat heaps doing all the lifting and work. Then I went to crossfit in the avo. So today I thought rest day, but woke up and was tired but felt the desire to workout, go figure. So went to the gym with a friend and we worked HARD.

Feeling good tonight. I have made paleo banana bread and paleo brownie bites over the last few days which kind of breaks my strict approach, so will finish those off and then go another 7 days strict is the plan. So pleased I don't have any flu carb like so many others.

Cheated and got on the scales and have lost 3.5 kgs (7 or 8 pounds) so very happy with that. I wont get on the scales again for until day 14.

Well done all of you in advance for all the great things I expect to hear for your day 10!

Emma you are doing such a great job! Keep it up. Day 10 is just getting started for me. We are heading out to a birthday party. I think the hubby is going to have a really hard time not giving into cake. Wish us luck!

Congrats to all of you who are soldiering on with their reset. :) I in all honesty could not say I am doing a reset, too many "just this one" episodes but hey that is ok as each day they are becoming less and less and you guys are keeping me focused with your efforts.

I am actually quite happy with my progress as I am slowly but surely eliminating wheat from my diet and my slips are mainly of the sugary kind, the occasional chocolate or biscuit but that is usually in a social situation.

But all in all, progress is good and I am eating Paleo most of the time. For some reason my mind is not in the right place for me to commit to a reset. I am going to blame the holiday season as so many of my family and friends are on holidays and wanting to socialise.

My only reset faux pas is I'm allowing red wine, but only twice a week and I may cut it out more down the road but I have to reward myself for now. I learned a few things about myself last time I stuck with paleo and not having an occasional drink definitely does not fit my life style. Otherwise I've been strict, down to nightshades strict. Oh, except for coffee. So coffee and wine.

Sorry group but I posted today (day 10) under Day 11. My new laptop's date was not set right. I sure hope my DAY 11 is better than DAY 10.

Yeah, Emily, coffee is my exception, too, with whole cream in it. I could drink it all day long, but limit myself to 16oz in the morning and then I switch to tea and/or water. For the reset I've eliminated wine for now -- it really does seem to make me feel hungrier. I'll probably have a glass on my birthday, and maybe even some gluten-free birthday cake. There's a bakery here than makes an amazing meringue cake with layers of orange-chocolate mousse in between the meringue layers. Too sugary to be paleo, but at least there is no wheat involved. So maybe, just maybe, I'll get one of those. And maybe I won't, but then I run the risk of Youngest baking me a cake for my birthday.

Emma, good job! I envy you the horse and the riding. I had a horse early in our marriage, but had to sell her years ago when we moved, and circumstances were never right to buy another. Our children are horse-crazy and would have *loved* to have a horse, though...

Are you in the southern hemisphere, where it's summer? It's cold and rainy here where I live, and I think I'm going to go and put a sweater on.

Sorry your day 10 didn't go so well. Hope tomorrow is better for you. It may be a bit of a challenge for me, as Sunday is our feast day and we have all sorts of treats. Next week I ought to make some paleo-friendly treats for Sunday teatime, but I'm too tired tonight. Will hopefully stick with my 85% chocolate and call it good.

Hi homesweeths, I am in Oz so yes the southern hemisphere where we are in the middle of summer - apparently - at the moment it is wet and cool (20 c or 68). Horse riding is my sanity and I love it, I hope I never have to give it up.
