At what point is an injury serious enough to completely stop the program? I just did week one day one this morning, then while running for the bus at school I fell and f-ed up my ankle. Pretty swollen. If the swelling goes down by friday, should I try day 2?

I rolled my ankle recently and gave it two weeks for the swelling to go down. Even though i got to week 7, i went back in the program to week 5 to ease myself into running again. I would also suggest if it still hurts you should see a physio. He/she may suggest some strengthening exercises and some form of strapping. You can start over if you want to. Just punish yourself if running doesn't feel right for you.

    Good luck x

I'd generally give it a week or so for something like a sprained ankle.

An ankle can take much longer than expected to heal, if enough stuff got messed up in there. Whenever I've seriously sprained mine, it has taken several weeks for the pain to stop completely during gentler walking even.

Holy smokes batman: DON'T punish yourself. Drop one word and that sentence has a whole new meaning!!!
