Hey everyone! I'm still sick. This head cold is nasty and clings forever! This morning is the first morning where I didn't wake up completely miserable.
I had my post op yesterday and everything looks good! No more restrictions! Of course, with this nasty illness I'm waiting until next week to start training. :(. But since I'm feeling better, I'm hoping to get all the stuff I've ignored while sick back in order (laundry, dishes, household chores, etc) so when I hit next week I can focus on my training! I'm so excited!
My husband is finishing up his last few classes for his degree. We've spent the past four years with him working and going to school, so that's four years of my running the house, taking care of the kids, tending the yard work...by myself. But he has a long work week this week because the Super Bowl is in town and he's been called to help work all the events leading up to it. He's a bit panicked at trying to get school work done on top of such a heavy work schedule. I'm glad I'm feeling better so I can keep the kids off of him.
Eating has been sub par on a good day for me. I did actually cook last night, so I'm hoping that now that my head is leaving the funk that things will start to improve again. I did buy Girl Scout cookies...but I'm feeding them to our bible study tonight. :)
    Have a great Wednesday!

Sorry you're still sick val, but it'll all be looking up from here! I bet you are chomping at the bit! Hope this week goes well even if it won't be easy.

Today I dropped son at the tutor and "ran" down to the coast and back. It was so slow. The aerobic training is mentally very hard. I kept thinking "what am I doing! Am I crazy! Who runs this slow?!?!" But I could feel my legs and feet really getting conditioned and I'm hoping that even with all the starts and stops I might still be making progress on the aerobic side of things too. In all, it was two hours with probably the average pace of a walking stroll. :s Came home to DH checking tickets to travel the first two weeks of March--more "starts and stops"! Grrrr.

Ok this is how my day is going, I posted on the wrong day. It's thread starter says NOW. I love that.
OOOOOOH! I love the thread starter (Thursdays). That was me today! It was beautiful weather out today and I thought about just going for a walk instead of doing my Video workout (which was going to kick my butt), but I said NO I've got to do it today and now! So I did. Sweet 16. Broad Jumps and Weighted squats. I did 96 broad jumps and 128 weighted squats! Feel ok now. A little dizzy earlier. I walked right after school for a little bit between meetings.

I hope everyone is feeling well and not buried in snow. It was close if not 50 degrees in Iowa today!

Val sorry to hear that you're still sick! I know how much you've been looking forward to the day you were cleared to fully work out again. Apparently your body has other ideas.

Sherry you're doing great with the training. Did you wear the new shoes? How were they?

Jen I can't tell you how many people I heard ask "Is it Wednesday today?" so apparently that's going around. I just about went to post on Thursday too because it was on the top.

Rest day today, so no workout. I did have a hair appointment after work. I only go in every 3 months so I was ready. I've been growing my hair out for years, because it grows very slowly. What I've found interesting is that the healthier lifestyle I live, the faster my hair will grow. It used to get to a certain point and then just stop getting any longer. For the past 4 years she's just been trimming the ends, so tonight when I went in and told her that my hair is too long so we need to cut more off than usual we both had to laugh because that was so unusual. She only cut a couple of inches off the bottom but it's much better. The ends were pretty scraggly anyway.

We missed most of the snow here too (less than 2"), although there's a freezing drizzle advisory tonight into tomorrow morning. It was mid 30's today (F) but is supposed to start dropping tomorrow & be really cold over the weekend.
