CRAVINGS ~ Sugar, Salt, Carbs, Munchies/Snacking

Options
One tip is a 15 minutes delay ~ Cravings are often impulses. When we get away from temptation and do something else for 15 minutes, often the craving goes away. Or attack the craving by doing a quick exercise. If you decide to eat - then eat slowly, savor the food, be satisfied with a few bites rather than a gobbling down a bunch of food.

So true. They did a study that said when you crave something it is really the first bite that satisfies you - not the whole thing. I sometimes just take a tablespoon of ice cream instead of a bowl and it actually does the trick more times than not.

I can NOT give in to cravings --- it's almost like alcoholism for me --- one bite and I'm done for because I can't seem to turn it off after that first bite. I've been off sugar, white flour and processed foods for awhile and that really seems to help me curb cravings. I no longer crave sugar or carbs.
